I read that Chloe Grace Mortez will be playing Ariel in the live-action "Little Mermaid." geplaatst een jaar geleden

Does anyone else see a reoccuring pattern in their favoriete princesses/princes/villains/etc? My favoriete princesses have blonde hair. geplaatst een jaar geleden

i have 3 totally different princess as my top, boven fav: Belle (brown hair, renaissance), Merida (red hair, modern era) and Cinderella (Pink blonde, classic era). There's practically no similarity in my top, boven 3. een jaar geleden
So, I saw The Little Mermaid (live) yesterday for the seconde time. Even though the musical does make me love Ariel meer as a character, the musical just seems less magical. The costumes were fantastic and so were the actors/actresses, but I dunno..it just feels kind of bland every time I see it :/ geplaatst een jaar geleden

Would u mind elaborating more? I've never seen as Disney musical live before, I'm curious to know why it's bland if the actors and such were good. een jaar geleden

I don't know. I felt that way about the live version of Beauty and The Beast which I've seen once of twice. Beauty and the Beast is underwhelming on stage, in my opinion. (B & the B is not exactly my favoriete fairy-tale, anyway, so that could have lots to do with it...) I think if it's not one of your all time favoriete Disney movies, u probably won't enjoy the transfer to the stage setting-- because a stage's "sets" come with "limitations" that aren't there on a screen. een jaar geleden

My crush and I are gonna go see The Little Mermaid (musical) tomorrow, and I'm honestly so excited. After that, I told him I had never been to church and he invited me to come with him on Sunday! What a pleasant week I'm having :) geplaatst een jaar geleden

Sounds nice, I've wanted to see The Little Mermaid musical for some time, it looks really interesting and it's great that you're going to visit a church for the first time, hopefully you'll like both experiences :) een jaar geleden

OOOOHHHH!!! Yes, The Little Mermaid musical is fantastic!!! I LOVED IT. In this version, Ariel saves the dag even more!!!! You're in for a thrill ride!!!! I hope u have a great time at both events. ;) een jaar geleden
Alan Menken released that two new songs will be released to the live action BATB, but they're not using any of the songs off of the Broadway production, which really upsets me. I already don't like Emma as Belle, and now this? Ugh. geplaatst een jaar geleden

I heard that too, and I hate it! I love the Broadway version's extra songs! een jaar geleden

I know, right! "If I Can't Love Her" would of been an amazing piece, too. Sigh, I feel like this movie's gonna flop. een jaar geleden
shanyuisboss commentaar gegeven…
I wish they didn't make a live action BATB in the first place. I think if they made it back then it would have had a meer magical feeling, but I have a feeling they're going to make it too modern of whatever. een jaar geleden
I've been thinking about something weird lately; since Triton's wife died, and he was left with seven daughters, who takes the troon once he resigns/dies? Does the oldest daughter's husband take it? If the oldest daughter isn't married but another daughter is, would her husband take the throne? If Ariel's dad died before any of the other daughters got married, would Eric, a natural-born human become ruler? Could a daughter door herself just rule as a queen? geplaatst een jaar geleden

I think his oldest daughter would be queen, even if she is married of not. een jaar geleden

I guess Attina (the oldest sisters) will take the troon as Queen of Atlantica. FYI I found the comic in Disney wiki that she getting married: link een jaar geleden

Don't misunderstand though, I'm not complaining about Attina and Alana being oldest and seconde oldest now - the crown and tiara gives the in line for troon thing meer sense. een jaar geleden
Things I am okay with: The Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise coming out between October-December.

Well...Star Wars is now doing what Frozen did for three years-ish now. I'm thinking this is the new way Disney "merchandizes" their stuff: door sheer inundation. For a person who sincerely hated Frozen, I had to suck it up and pretend I didn't see anything. lol. een jaar geleden

I love ster Wars, I'm super excited for the new movie, and I'm glad Disney bought it and is actually promoting it so it doesn't bother me at all, I like it actually. Nightmare Before Christmas is a seasonal film, ster Wars isn't so I get why the Nightmare stuff isn't in stores all jaar long while the ster Wars ones are. I think it's mainly for the upcoming movie though but who knows. een jaar geleden

So it turns out there was supposed to be a live-action "The Little Mermaid" movie, but the director Sofia Coppola dropped out of it due to "creative differences." It says that Universal Pictures and Working titel are still trying to verplaats on with the idea, but I honestly think the Disney 1989 version is the best, and I think the live-action version would be a flop. geplaatst een jaar geleden

Sigh. If Hans Christian Andersen hadn't been so morose in his conclusions that everything needed to end in "death," then his stories might have been meer beloved door whole generations of people. And yes, the live-action version of TLM with the ending where she dies and becomes a ghost for all time would be an expensive commercial flop. I, for one, wouldn't even go see it. een jaar geleden

I'm actually disappointed. I hate to be THAT person, but I'd be in heaven if I found an accurate and well-made Little Mermaid (HCA's fairy tale). I understand that films can't ever be exactly like the original, and I'm not complaining. Yes, I've seen the anime one (I enjoyed it , too) but even that changed some of the story. I'm sorry if this commentaar comes across as complain-y. I know not everyone likes HCA's story. I just wanted to put one of my dream movie ideas out there. een jaar geleden
