How about Battle of the Planets? It's basically an english dub of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman that completely sanitizes the toon of almost any and all violence (though it still isn't shy about tonen death).
hmm...you could say that clannad is about the lives of nagisa, tomoya and the people around them... i know it sounds strange, but its really good and u could say something a little different from the other animes too ^^ i hope i helped @capitaindinosaur
