Part 18: link

Gaius’ head snaps up at the sound of the front door slamming and grocery bags being set a little meer emphatically than usual on the keuken-, keuken counter. He sets his newspaper aside and goes to the kitchen, glancing at Arthur, who follows him.
As soon as he sees Alice’s face he knows she’s steamed about something. “How was the market, dear?” he asks cautiously.
    “Mortifying,” Alice snaps.
    “What happened?” Gaius asks.
    “Guinevere?” Arthur asks quietly,...

“Oh, no, I couldn’t…” Guinevere protests.
“You can and u will. Come on, it’ll be fun!” Morgana argues.
    “But…”
“No buts. u realize u have to do what I say, don’t you? It’s part of the job.”
“Yes, my lady,” Gwen bows her head, looking at her feet.
“And I want u to come to the masquerade tonight.”
    “Very well.”
“Oh, now, don’t be like that. It will be deliciously...

“Long live the king! Long live the king! Long live the king!”
The voices ring out through the troon room, cheering their freshly-minted young sovereign, looking absolutely resplendent in his dress armor and best cape, Excalibur at his hip, crown on his noble brow.
He looks petrified, Gwen thinks. She knows that she and Merlin are the only ones who see the overwhelmed boy behind the charismatic leader, the fear just the tiniest glint in his eyes. The others will undoubtedly mistake it for grief over his father....

Morgana stirred the brand and hung a cauldron above it. The door creaked behind her. A smile curved at the corner of her lips.
“I believe u bring me good news?” she asked, without turning to look at the intruder. She didn’t need to. She knew who was inside her hut. The foot steps halted behind her. Morgana stirred the broth she was working on while Agravaine watched her silently. “My lord, u are awfully silent. I believe you’ve had a tough day?”
    “Enough, Morgana!” he hissed.
    Morgana...

A pale oranje glow is just starting to appear in the eastern sky. The streets of Camelot are still, apart from a trio of figures with a cart, making their way quietly through the lower town. They come to a stop outside a modest house, but clean; the house of the maid Guinevere, nursemaid to the late king.
One of the men motions to the other two to wait outside, and he creeps towards the door. He listens. No sound. Gently he eases the door open and peeks inside. No movement. He slips in, closing the door soundlessly behind him.

So what do u think? I knew it! I knew it wouldn't happen this episode, but oh, I don't know about u but I'm excited about the way they did it. It ended in such a way that we can be sure it WILL happen and I'm so glad they did not rush it. What about you? How do u feel? Wasn't the beginning part with Gwen and Helios upsetting? And Arthur and the princess. It started out so poorly to end in a way that to me was so satisfying. He has decided for her without knowing the truth! This is what so many of us wanted and u can be sure the truth will come out volgende week. And the ring WAS important as some were thinking. That scene where he picked it up--made up for all the .... he's done to make us upset in my opinion.

Did u cry buckets with the deer scene and the scene with Merlin and Gwen? Has Merlin redeemed himself in your eyes?

Please let's talk about it. My fingers are shaking as I type. I'll be back soon to say meer and put a picture but wanted to open up discussion ASAP!

This chapter is dedicated to Stacey for her birthday! Happy birthday, darling!

“Who could that be?” Gwen asks when her phone vibrates on her desk. Merlin looks over from his computer screen and shrugs.
    “Hello?” she antwoorden quietly.
“Gwen?” a vaguely familiar voice responds.
    “Yes?”
“This is Uther Pendragon. Sorry to bother you, but…”
“What’s wrong?” Gwen asks, immediately frightened. Why is Uther calling me in the middle...

“So who gets to go first?” Gwen asks, holding the jar of body paint, standing in the doorway of the living room.
Arthur looks up from the Macbook on his lap. He arches an eyebrow at her and smirks. “You’re the artist,” he challenges.
She snorts and disappears, back to the bedroom. Arthur hurriedly slams the laptop shut, fumbles with the remote to turn off the TV, and scurries after her, swearing as he bangs his shin on the coffee table.
“Nice princess sheet,” he says, striving...

Camelot, during the reign of King Uther Pendragon

The world is glistening. It is early spring, and overnight thunderstorms have gegeven way to bright morning sunlight, and all the newly-sprouting green things seem to be straining towards the sun, soaking it in, deepening their flat green faces.

Prince Arthur enjoys early morning rides on days like this, especially after a long and cold winter during which he was forced to spend far too much time...

I was reading something recently which made me think about Arwen and the yin yang concept, and most particularly about how much that is a factor in their appeal. u know I’ve often zei around here that I think they look so good together, that they are nicely balanced aesthetically. Also, the height difference is another thing that makes them aesthetically pleasing to me. I know what I'm pointing out is exactly yin-yang in the exact sense, but I do get that feel in some ways.

But then in this artikel I was reading, some things were brought up about the topic of masculinity vs. femininity...

Episode 6 is officially the funniest episode all seasons combined ... for me! I was laughing so hard that it brought tears to my eyes and I watched almost twice already. I'm gonna do one meer today. Everything from the lines, the acting, the comedy, the love, the banter, the angst, the awkwardness etc is stupendous. After weeks of enduring hart-, hart wrenching moments, crying over loss of certain characters, feeling sorry and gutted over the breakup, feeling angry over Arthur's treatment over Merlin and Gwen and etc ... we are finally treated with an episode where we could sit back and laugh for...

Tap, tap, tap. Cautiously, she creeps to the door.
    “Hello?”
    “Guinevere, it’s me.”
    “Arthur??”
She opens the door and peeks out. A cloaked figure pushes through the door and immediately takes her in his arms. He kisses her at once, reaching back to close the door. He leans into her, pressing himself to her. Her arms snake up around his neck and his mantel drapes over both of them and their tongues stroke and play with each other.
    Arthur finally...

Guys ... first and foremost i apologise for posting this artikel on Lancelot in the sacred spot of ARWEN. Lancelot of all do not deserve the place here yet I need to get a few issues of my chest and I need to confide. The only person I can think of are all of you, my vrienden ... u all have a good hart-, hart and will give a good explanation regardless the issue discussed is to your liking of not. Which is why I seeked your council. Just hear me out first, yeah ...

I saw Episode 2 last night and I was moved. The performance all around were brilliant and frankly, I am not one who sheds tear easily...

I'll Be Mary, u Be Joseph - PG - Fluff - Warnings: Not really! Just some little!Gwen and little!Arthur

A/N: This is the last fic I wrote for the ag-fics Christmas 2012 Fic Exchange. This one was in response to lillypad9090's prompt which was: A/G as kids as Mary and Joseph in the school nativity! This little fic has not been edited, so any mistakes are entirely my fault.

Excitement and nervousness can be felt in the air as little children prepare for Albion Primary School's annual School Nativity play, but not as much as little 12 jaar old Arthur Pendragon.

His father demanded that this...

Through the Snow

Prompt: Dashing through the snow

“Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh…”

“Merlin, shut up!” Gwen snaps, navigating through traffic on the snowy highway, gripping the steering wheel like she’s trying to strangle it. “And this isn’t a sleigh, it’s a Land Rover,” she mutters.

“Dashing through the snow, in Gwen’s black LR2…”

“Merlin…” she warns, hitting the brakes suddenly. “Ugh, if you’re going to just go the speed limit, get out of this lane!”

“Gwen, calm down,” Merlin says.

“I don’t know why I let u talk me...

And he is the nicest person ever. Will do a full meld later but he was lovely. He even let my friend who is deaf have her hearing dog in their photo. He enjoyed patting him and later when we went us to get my picture signed he was happy to chat and once again enjoyed patting Chippy who had gone under the table. He even signed her phot for free!

Also when I was having the foto taken, Tom zei I was shaking and I zei something like I was nervous. Luckily, I got to speak to him later when I wasn't so nervous. And he is really tall I had to stand on a stall.

I told him he was one of my favourite knights and I wished we got his characters backstory which he agreed and I zei maybe series 6. When I asked about the producers not listening to the other actors, he zei he just does what's in the script.

All in all meeting Tom was the best thing ever and worth every penny. I didn't take any foto's cuz I was too overwhelmed. So I'll post the one I had with him later.

Series 5 - 6. The Dark Tower

Is snake in the gras Morgana losing her touch? To separate Queen Gwen from her protectors, the sorceress conjures up… some snakes in the grass. A little unimaginative, perhaps, but it has the desired effect, leaving Leon and Percival with dark magic coursing through their veins and Gwen in Morgana’s clutches.

A mortified King Arthur and Gwen’s brother Sir Elyan lead a rescue mission that turns into that splendidly enjoyable Merlin staple, the quest. But while Camelot’s armoured division is huffing and puffing through the Impenetrable Forest (go around!), Gwen fears for her very sanity in the Dark Tower where Morgana is keeping her.

Though the quest at times resembles a sinister pantomime, there’s nothing amusing about Gwen’s nightmarish ordeal, which makes this instalment probably the most disturbing yet. We were promised “darker” for season five — and we’ve certainly got it.

“Feeling better, Love?” Gwen asks that night while they eat dinner.
“Quite a bit, actually. Should be right as rain door the end of the week,” he says.
“Do u want to go over to your place after avondeten, diner and bring some meer things over?”
“Yeah, okay,” he says. “I need the rest of my clothes, definitely. And my records.”
Their conversations since Sunday have been somewhat stilted. She really wants to ask if he’s gegeven any meer thought to her suggestion...

The deafening honks and blares behind Arthur remind him that the traffic ahead of him has dispersed and it’s his turn to verplaats the car forward. But he’s been concentrating on Gwen far too long to realize that, and in the end, he faces the wrath of the drivers behind him. Arthur turns back and notices the stack of cars lining up and immediately moves the car ahead. But instead of driving away, he brings the car to the side of the road and allows the cars behind him to pass him by. But the drivers, instead of being grateful, verbally abuse Arthur as they pass....

Gwen finds Merlin talking to the doctor when she arrives. She waits until the latter is done before approaching him. She touches him on the shoulder. Merlin turns around, smile immediately forming on his face.

“Is something wrong?” Gwen asks, her voice lowering in anxiety. The last thing they need now is another obstacle when they have come so far. Arthur really needs this operation to happen without any...
