Avril Ramona Lavigne was born in Belleville, Ontario. Her father, Jean-Claude Lavigne, named her "Avril" after the French word for the maand of April. J-14:Why did u call your album Goodbye Lullaby?
Avril:A lullaby is something sweet, soothing, and comforting. Goodbye Lullaby represents evolving, changing, and moving vooruit, voorwaarts from that comforting place. It's about letting go of the things u thought u needed to be strong and finding your own strength.

J-14:Which track was the most different for you?
Avril:"Darlin" is the first complete song I wrote when I was 15 and finally decided to record it for this record. It's about a friend.

J-14:What's the craziest rumor you've heard about yourself?
Avril:I heard that I died in a snowboarding accident....
