After watching Barbie In A Mermaid Tale 2 online on Xtshare, I came to a decision to review the movie and share my personal opinions.
The Story - For most part the story proceeded in moderate pace. It was interesting and quiet easy to follow.
The Look - The enviorment the characters verplaats in are well done and quite beautiful, particulary the coral reefs and globaal, algemene underwater enviorment. The characters themselfs also look good without being too much, and their movement are snel, swift and natural, tonen how far Mattel has gone from the first Barbie films to now.
The Characters - As stated above, the characters look good without being too much. Most of them are quite interesting and has their own role in the movie.
Pesonal Opinons/Overall - This movie has it's ups and downs, but all in all it was enjoyable to watch. I liked the enviorment, the plot and the music, as well as how the characters evolved and changed.
For example, I iniciately didn't like Kylie Morgans as I found her too grumpy/bitter, but as the story went on she evolved into a character I actully enjoyed. While Merliah stayed mostly the same, she became a bit meer mature and I liked that she in the end gained the ability to shift between mermaid and human without her necklace. And Eris...well, she got what she deserved, that's for sure.
The ending of the movie was also quite good as it didn't feel rushed of forced. In fact, the only thing I didn't quite like about the ending was that Merliah didn't take the chanse to win the Meet, but then again that's just my personal opinion. As stated above, it's a really good movie all in all, and I look vooruit, voorwaarts to buy it once it comes out in the stores here in Sweden.
Conclusion: I recomend this movie for those who enjoyed the first Mermaid Tale movie, as well as those who might just like mermaids in general. If I were to give this movie any stars, I'd personally give it 6 stars out of 10.
