Previously, Black Pink stirred up curiosity as they shared an image of their logo but with the words \'Blink\'. Many fans assumed this to be the official fandom name for the girl group.

Then on January 16, one of the Black Pink members, Jennie, confirmed the official fandom name with a post on Instagram. Her birthday message for her fans read, "BLINK my favorite people on this planet. I can\'t thank you guys enough for all the gifts and letters. I am so blessed to have you guys. I am more than thankful for all the love I received today. I love you

I suppose you could even have it be rechargeable like a BLUETOOTH device. Ah, the GLASSES could also DOUBLE as a BLUETOOTH STEREO HEADSET. Being \'Official,\' figure that the BLINK GLASSES / BLUETOOTH STEREO HEADSET would sell for like *three times* the price that is reasonable? ...

(Joking) I favored "BLOTTO" for the BLACKPINK Fandom name. Because this would make it EASIER for BLACKPINK to get SOJU Product CF Endorsement opportunities. Good enough for SUZY and IU, good enough for BLACKPINK! ...

I\'m happy to have a fandom name, but sad that "Blink" wasn\'t for a comeback haha.

I think later the name will grow on to u,  I personally wud have loved a cool fandom name that doesn\'t necessarily be derived from their own name coz usually fandom name that has nothing to do with the group\'s name are usually the coolest like VIPs or BlackJacks ( these two r seriously the coolest fandom names ever)  Army is good too since it\'s meaningful.  But oh well,  first when they announced that the girls will be going as BlackPink many weren\'t feeling it and were disappointed as it was too plain and predictable but it grew on us and it really suits the girls so much and their concept and we accepted it,  BLINKS will grow onto u as well it\'s the combination of the group\'s name so it mean we fans are also black and pink
