boeken to Read Vraag

Anyone here read 'Little Women'?

My mom bought it for me and told me it was a good book. Since I prefer science fiction boeken over those kind of boeken (and I'm not likely to read it willingly), I wanted to know what u Fanpoppers thought of it. Is it good? Should I read it?

I read Little Women. I'm like you, I don't really like that kind of book. I thought of it as cute. It definitely isn't in my top, boven 50. I was kind of bored reading it. Again... it's cute. I read it to my younger sister and she loved it. I think u just have to enjoy that kind of book to really get into it.

I'm going to be honest, I did not like this book, but then I am not a fan of 'sad' boeken and this book was very sad to me. I do have a close friend who loves this as her favoriete book. It's the story of four sisters growing up and it hits some important life lessons on poverty vs wealth, maturity, sibling rivalry. It was published in 1868 and because of the different style of writing back then, it was not an easy read for me. Louisa May Alcott had a rough life and a lot of tragedy, which, in my opinion, shows up in her writing. If u don't mind melancholy and if u can adjust to the style, then u may like this book.
