How Will Dexter Get Out of This? 

Dexter is smarter than Doakes. Doakes knows he can't use the box of slides as evidence because he had to break and enter to get them, so he'll have to confront Dexter directly, which puts him at a disadvantage

Doakes is acting as a civilian now, and I think that changes things as far as evidence, doesn't it? But, Doaked mentioned to laguerta that his father was a butcher... He seems to have no emotions except for a lot of anger... Everyone at the station thinks he's nuts now. Wouldn't it be priceless, if Dexter somehow made him take the fall as the butcher? On the other hand, Doakes isn't exactly a good guy either, he just keeps it in check for the most part, as far as we've seen. I'm thinking from what we've learned of Doakes, he recognizes Dexter, because he knows the darkness in himself. It would be interesting if he chose to remain silent, and help, but I doubt it. Regardless, I'm on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what happens next episode. I even started reading the books. Good stuff.

Ok, I'm thinking that Lundy and Debra's relationship helps Dexter get out of trouble. Otherwise, that was way too disgusting for us to have to watch. Secondly, there is something sketchy about Lundy. First, he's interested in Debra which is a definite red flag and thirdly he's too smart. There is something up with this guy.

It would be easiest to pin it on Doakes and then somehow have Doakes "disappear"... I can't think of any other way out for poor dastardly Dexter.

I think I'm gonna side with what was mentioned in the poll, and say that Dexter is gonna pin it on Doakes. I know that he has to get out of it somehow to keep the show going, but I still freak out whenever he gets close to getting caught, so I hope that's what happens.
