This isn't true as I believe. Eric was more of a trigger. The main reason she wanted to go on land was because she wanted to become human. If anyone didn't realise there was a song all about it, even before she met Eric. It's called Part of your World. The Part of your World Reprise was more about Eric, but the main version of the song was about her passion for the human world and her desire to become a human. This view, however, is probably subjective, I am only stating my reasons and other people have a right to disagree. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone.

I may not like her, but the filmmakers didn't put "Part of That World" into the film just to kill time. She ALREADY wanted to go to land BEFORE she saw Eric. She already wanted feet and legs "for running, jumping, dancing" and already wanted "out of these waters, out of the sea." For the love of criminy, have the people who accuse her of going to land or become human "just to get a man" ever WATCHED the movie?

I disagree with most, if not all of these annoying statements. I mean, DO PEOPLE WATCH the DP movies? Or do they just make assumptions and HARP ON THEM? The later seems most prevalent, sadly. People love to just write DPs off as being bad for their kids. Sheesh.

I don't think she's boring!

-I 100% agree with the Rapunzel one. In fact I'm probably the one you heard say it ;) I've only heard 2 other people say it.

-"stupid" is harsh for Belle but hey, nobody has any problem calling Snow White a moron, and Belle has the sense to know better so I agree with it was dumb. She had no good reason to disobey and invade his privacy unlike trying to accept payment from an old lady who assume is being grateful.

-Ariel's is dumb. SHE HAS A WHOLE SONG ABOUT WANTING TO LIVE WITH THE PEOPLE. Eric doesn't even show up in her view till later.

-While I disagree on the Poca one, it doesn't annoy me. there's nothing offensive about it to me.

-Elsa wasn't selfish to run because she thought she'd get hurt or killed, but I do think it was selfish to not even consider trying to fix it.

-I've never heard the Anna one. I only hear that she's stupid, too impulsive, and pushed Elsa too far, all of which but impulsive I disagree on.

-But it does annoys me when people pat Poca or Belle or Mulan on the back for doing their duty but call Aurora spineless when she does it.

Why did the film makers put "Part of Your World" in the movie if it was all about Ariel just wanting to be with Eric? She was already intrigued by the wonders and things on land, and so she wanted to become human. Eric was just the last thing that she needed to make her actually go for it. Did people actually watch The Little Mermaid or what?

The excellent lyrics.voice and music made me forgot what Elsa did sooo..yeah it didn't annoyed me even through it should of.And Ariel being so determined to go and leave her family for one boy who was most likely not even good guy that annoyed me.

I HATE this one! It's obvious she left because she knew that she couldn't control her powers and didn't want to hurt anyone.
