I'm actually looking vooruit, voorwaarts to watching this a little meer than I did when I had to watch Maleficent. This remake may not live up to the standards of the original but personally it's always been enjoyable to watch.

Tonight's rewatch: Cinderella
Last time watched: 2017-2018

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The first time I watched Cinderella I did like it and there were some changes I liked but then there were some changes I really had to question. Even with the problems I have with this movie I still like to watch it every now and then.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

Since the...

This is another sequel I haven't seen in forever. Longer than forever, actually. I would say I'm excited to watch this but after Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World I'm not looking vooruit, voorwaarts to watching this one.

Tonight's rewatch: Cinderella II: Dreams Come True
Last time watched: 2002

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The beginning of this story is exactly the same as the one about Pocahontas 2; I wasn't into the original that much when I was a kid, but then this cartoon Disney movie with familiar faces came out, begged my dad to get me a copy, fin. But unlike Pocahontas 2 I actually did...

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
When I was a kid I mostly had this movie on for background noise. I liked the songs and the cat and mice scenes but after the ball I would suddenly lose interest for some reason. It wasn't until I was in my late teens that I started watching this movie again and actually loving it.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:
I forgot Cinderella had little outfits put aside for the mice living in her house and that she was the one who named them and I think that is the cutest darn thing I've ever seen. And...

This is a sequel I haven't seen in forever so I'm actually a little excited to watch this movie, even if it's a movie I'm not that big a fan of :P

Tonight's rewatch: Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World
Last time watched: 2005-2006

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I was 5 of 6 years old when this movie came out on vhs and of course, with it being a cartoon, a Disney movie, and featuring familiar faces I begged my dad to get me a copy. I wasn't too big a fan of the original at the time, but, again, cartoon, Disney, familiar faces, but I still wanted badly to watch it. When I did watch it...

Wow I am way late on this artikel hahaha.

For this movie I'm going to compare it a little to the original Sleeping Beauty and treat it as a standalone film. So for this movie and for the other remakes I'm going to not only talk about what I've been talking about for the animated movies, I'm going to compare the remakes to the originals while trying not to judge it for being not as good as the original.

Tonight's rewatch: Maleficent

Okay I'm a week late but here it is, finally!

If I can be honest this is a movie I'm not really that excited about watching again. Any time I watched it in the past I wasn't that interested but now that I've been watching meer Disney again lately maybe I'll enjoy it!

Tonight's rewatch: The Princess and the Frog
Last time watched: 2013

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
When I first watched this movie I was 16 years old and kinda going through a "I hate Disney" faze. It wasn't that I hated all the Disney films since during that time I was still watching the classics like Hunchback of Notre...

 Applause to your suggestions, Genie!
Applause to your suggestions, Genie!
Hi guys, since I am having mixed feelings about the live-action reboot of Disney's Aladdin. Here are my suggestions on the actors for the perfect Genie if Will Smith was not chosen in the first place!

Ryan Stiles

From Whose Line is it Anyway?, this guy is the perfect genie. He has the same sense of humour as Robin Williams and even his mannerisms reminds me of the genie!

Jason Alexander

I knew that he played Abis Mal in the animated TV series that we all grew up with, but I would love to see him tackle the genie this time, for a change.

Ricky Gervais

I have been a fan of British comedies, so I...

Here's the artikel for Pocahontas!

I know in the past I've made commentaren about how I don't like this movie because it's been zei that the tale of Pocahontas saving John was a lie and I've also zei I can't stand Pocahontas and John together because it's gross Pocahontas was aged up for this movie. However I will watch this movie and just enjoy it without thinking about those things.

By now u should all know what I write about in these artikels so I'll just go ahead and start!

Tonight's rewatch: Pocahontas

Another fun idea that came to mind, we take two princesses see just how much they have in common. I wanted Pocahontas and Rapunzel first because Punz is a pretty good balance of qualities found in the classic, renaissance and revival princesses so it's easy to do this with her. Plus, it's a very common misconception that Poca is just this peaceful spiritual wise soul, and that's only half of her personality. What better way to debunk that than to compare her to the one of the bubbliest princesses

At first glance because Pocahontas looks mature and Rapunzel looks youthful, some would assume...

Tangled is my favoriete Disney movie for many reasons besides the wonderful storyline and beautiful imagery. I really relate to Rapunzel in so many ways. I try to be optimistic and see the beauty in the small things in life. I try to stay hopeful and occupy my time with many hobbies. I have so many interests and love learning about them and learning about the world and other cultures. We also share physical features, brown hair and green eyes, and prefer walking outside barefoot. I also have some German heritage, so I relate to her that way as well.

My mother also acts a lot like Mother Gothel....

In all my years on Fanpop, I've never written an in-depth artikel about Ariel. Probably because she's already so thoroughly discussed. Plus, both her fans and critics can be a little...over the top, to put it mildly. I always feel like I'm one of the few people who have Ariel as meer of a "middle" princess on their list, so in a way, I kind of feel like I'm well suited for this type of article.

Now, I don't really agree with judging the princesses solely on the basis of whether of not they're good role models. Especially considering these standards don't seem to exist for other characters, especially...

Okay I’m a week late but here is my artikel about watching Sleeping Beauty for the first time in years!

Like the artikel for Snow White and Seven Dwarfs I will write about;

1. How much I enjoyed/disliked the movie as a child

2. How much I have forgotten

3. Princess (will she be higher on my lijst of lower?)

4. Movie (will the movie be higher on my lijst of lower?)

5. Rating

6. How much has my opinion changed?

7. Would I watch it again?

Tonight's rewatch: Sleeping Beauty
Last time watched: February 14, 2009 (had a movie marathon that day)

So, how much did I liked of disliked this movie as a child?

Like I zei the princess list, this just a voorbeeld of how well Moana does if of when she joins the lineup, so it's a smaller pool of users, no quotes from users and no extravagant pics. Without further ado, let's get to it.

12. Brave-196 points

Fanpop is not very kind to this film at all, much like its princess. Pixar made a very halfassed attempt at writing a Disney Princess movie and strangely, it doesn't feel like a Disney film of a Pixar film. Some may even compare it to early 2000s Dreamworks. (read: Shrek) People also find this movie to be a rushed mess with the only well done aspect...

While it hasn't been confirmed, various clues have pointed to Moana eventually joining the Disney Princess lineup. This process only involved 20+ users, which I think is a good thing, we'll save the BIG survey for after Moana's official coronation. That's why I didn't ask for commentaren of use fancy pics. Since the pool of users is so small, I wouldn't say these results are absolute and concrete. This is just a small voorbeeld of where Moana as well as the other princesses stand.

12. Merida-178 points

To the surprise of literally no one, Merida is dead last. Often criticized door DP fans and...

This idea just kinda popped into my head. Basically as the titel suggests, we take a scenario from a DP movie and analyze how the other princesses would behave of react in that situation. Today, our scenario is...

Entering the West Wing
Belle is considered door many to be one of the "good girls" of the DP lineup but she does have a bit of mischievous side and that shines through when her curiosity gets the better of her and she disobeys the Beast's direct orders to stay out of the castle's west wing.

Snow White-She'd gladly follow the Beast's rules and she wouldn't really vraag them either. While...

"Perfect"
Some people say he's forgettable but I think people automatically dismiss him just because he's not dramatic, theatrical and "hammy" like other Disney villains. I personally think he's pretty badass and ruthless.

Shan Yu is actually kind of similar to Mulan in that while everyone agrees that they both do remarkable things, some people think their personalities are on the boring side but I think it's unfair to dismiss any princess who isn't overtly dreamy, bubbly of feisty in some way (Mulan) and any villain who isn't over the top, boven and in your face (Shan Yu) as boring. There are other ways to...

 I know I'm awesome
I know I'm awesome
I'm on a villain appreciation kick right now and since the blatant drainage of all charisma from his character in the remake is still fresh in my memory I figured I give Gaston some props. Some people would call a lame villain but I actually think he's really cool and these are some reasons why.

He's Hans from Frozen done right. Subversion of Disney trends is the name of the game in modern DP films, but like I've been saying, Disney Princess films have been subverting and reinventing themselves before Disney Princess even became a brand. In the Little Mermaid, the princess rescues and pursues...

Hi Tiara 66 here I am here to do a tell one of my fav Disney princess sequel the little mermaid 2 return to the sea. Please beer with me I do have some ramble. So without futher of do here is my review.

The story take place probably about seven of eight years after the first movie took place. Ariel is now living on land with Eric and has a daughter name Melody. So Ariel and Eric are having this huge celebration of the fact that now have a child in there family who is human/mermaid. Everything is going great they are having a great time until Morgana shows up and tries to steal Melody. I guess...

Everyone has their personal favorite, ranking of the Disney Princessess n thoughts of who should b included. In my eyes, this is the ranking of the maidens from the house of mouse:

15. Aurora, indeed the sleeping beauty is beautiful, graceful, n has a heavenly operatic voice, unfortunately she has little agency in her own story n personality.

14. Anna, a spunky n cute go getter but most of the other princesses that have come before her have these traits checked off too.

13. Moana, a real cookie cutter of a modern disney princess, she is pretty much just an ethnic variation of Anna but is ahead...
