This sums it up. I appreciate spunkiness if it makes sense, like with Ariel or Rapunzel, but I couldn't care less that Aurora isn't spunky. It wouldn't go with the rest of her character.

I guess if it's done right, which it usually isn't. It's so easy to make this trait annoying.

Possibly the most overrated quality in characters now, especially women. It's usually outright rudeness, but the movie just wants you to find it cute instead. a little bit is fine like the ways Snow White or Eiloney do it (usually just teasing or gently or with good reason).

^ I think you are confusing spunky with feisty. Spunky is courageous and determined usually with optimistic energy. Feisty is touchy and aggressive (spunky plus).

^maybe, but they're very similar and both can be pretty annoying. Especially with how obsessed with how ~sassy a heroine is (and a lot of the time they arent, they just said a funny line)

If you are referring to the dictionary definition of the word "spunk" (bravery), then it is a somewhat important quality to me. However, that word has negative connotations, IMO. Spunkiness often equates to being rash and hotheaded, especially in the case of Anna or Ariel.
