I don't care if she's already played Maleficent! She's perfect for the role and deserves a MUCH better script and character. She would've benefited better playing the real truly 100% evil Maleficent. Also, I know that Bridgit Mendler is a singer and she does have a good voice but Aurora needs a voice that is meant for opera. Yes, Jackie's singing doesn't match with Bridgit's speaking voice, but to be fair, Jackie's singing voice doesn't sound ANYTHING like her own speaking voice. Besides, there would be the excuse that Aurora was literally blessed with the gift of a gorgeous set of pipes when she was just a baby thanks to Fauna. I don't think it should be a problem. I almost went with Josh Groban for the singing voice of Phillip but he doesn't have the excuse of an amazing voice thanks to magic, so I had to find someone who suited Liam's speaking voice. Also, for those of you who haven't heard Jackie Evancho or Chris Mann sing before, here are links to them singing.
