Apparently Esmeralda is a Gypsy Princess, and Nala and Faline married into animal royalty. Technically Mulan isn't a Princess anyway because she didn't marry and nor was she born into royalty and plus on one of the previous questions, most people voted that she shouldn't be considered a Disney Princess

I wouldn't want Nala or Faline here because there is a separate spot for Disney animals, so even if they were animal royalty I don't think it's the same as actual princesses. Personally I don't really think animals fit in here.

I agree Mulan isn't a princess. As for Emeralda I don't consider her a princess. I don't remember Esmeralda being called a gypsy princess but even if she is, that seems more like an honorary title than an actual thing (you know, like people call Britney Spears a pop princess, but she isn't actually a princess)

I asked a similar question a few weeks back regarding Faline and Nala being princesses. While I do consider them Disney Princesses in general, I don't think they should be a part of the franchise because as animals they are probably the least relatable.

In terms of being on this spot? Hey, I've included Mulan, Kida, Ezmeralda, Eilowy and other people just 'mentioned' as princesses in several of my picks or quiz questions. I don't think they should have top billing or be in the picture banner necessarily, but at least get recognition. So just...sneaking...them in shouldn't be a problem. If you have any questions or picks in mind, go for it!

I think that given that this spot is for "Disney Princess" I think we should stick to the official 8 heroines depicted by the franchise and at times include the others, but not regurally. There are a variety of spots simular to this one for other disney heroine characters:

I don't think Mulan is a princess. I don't think the animals should be on here.

I don't really care too much about Mulan, Esmeralda, Kida, etc. They are princesses in some people's eyes, so just putting them in picks shouldn't really offend anyone I don't think ;)

I agree with the others, I don't want animals to be in this spot. I just LOVE Esmeralda, but I would not consider her a "Princess".

In that vein, why not add Meg? She is with the "prince" of the gods if you want to get technical. She probably deserves it more than anyone else, seeing as she DIED to save Herc.

I consider Mulan a princess because "The Golden Dragon of Unity" (AKA Mushu....LOL!!) bound her and Li Shang under his royal paw of unity. That is why I consider her a Princess.
As for Nala, Faline and Esmeralda, I think they should be Princesses too, just like Princess Tiger Lily (Peter Pan), The Princesses from Mulan 2, Meg (Hercules- because she's with Hercules, who is technically a prince)
