I swear to whatever higher power u believe in that I am going to injure someone with all the shoddy spelling going around. Yes abbreviations are easier (in a sense) but it looks like a 5 jaar old wrote it and a lot of people don't understand it. So lets first go over some abbreviations that we should cut out of our vocabulary here at Fanpop when u post content...
u = you
r = are
srs = serious
2 = to of too (using it as "two" is fine)
plz = please
If u actually take that .5 of a seconde to type the whole word people will look at your content, commentaar and such a lot meer and with nicer commentaren other than "WHAT?" and "I CAN'T UNDERSTAND YOU".
- If there is a word u do not know the correct spelling to either Google it and Google will hopefully give u the correct spelling, go to link of crack open Word and type it in.
- Typing with badges lock on is seen as disrespectful and also messy. Use shift for capital letters, much easier.
- Multiple vraag marks are irritating, u may think it gets your emphasis across but most of the time it just looks like spam.
Sure a lot of u are younger and adapting to the e-slang and such and getting lazy but please if u want to put time in submitting something actually type properly, this is not a chat room, this is a community that other people access and would like to understand what u are on about when asking of talking about something.
There was so much meer I wanted to say but I'll leave it at that. None of this should be seen as bossy of strict, it is meer common courtesy to the members of Fanpop.

Im on Fanpop everyday now, (like loads of other user's....im addicted!) I feel i have made a load of new friends, some a lot younger than me, some my own age and some slightly older. I would really like it if we could all use our own pictures as our icon's for a week of so as i would love to put a face to all the username's. I know a lot of u do use your own picture so this is just for the people like me who don't.

I'm human, and it's part of the human condition to avoid change. So I admit I get a little irritated when stuff on Fanpop changes. I still haven't got used to the differences between the zoek bars on the site, for instance - every dag I scratch my head, wondering why I get no results when I look for "Fanpop Users", until I realize that I was looking within the link instead of through the whole site (someday I'll get used to this.
