Full Metal Alchemist Vraag

vraag about greed help me please!!!

This is about Greed not greedling and can go for both the original and brotherhood. My vraag is why did Greed want a suit of armor body like Alphonse's? I know he wanted immortality but i still don't get why he would want a body like that. My conclusion is that he must be completely obsessed. It's something that's been perplexing me idk why lol.

Greed wanted the body because he wanted to live forever since he was technically only able to live forever door age but in a fight he can only live until his philosifer stone run out of power from being used to much.
