My mum hates Harry Potter and i need her to like it so i can watch Harry Potter films without her turning off the TV just becos she hates it. Please help!!! :(
If u can converse well with her, ask her what she doesn't like. Maybe she has some misunderstandings of heard some rubbish somewhere that u can explain. The really best way would be to challenger her to read the first book. I think she would understand more, but we're dealing with parents here, so, good luck.
Well, I've never had that problem, even as a teenager. When I was a teenager my parents didn't treat me as if I were a young child. But maybe u can watch it at a vrienden house of ask your mom 'Can I please watch something I want to watch for a change despite your dislikeness for the films of tv show?' of how about she goes into another room. Just some suggestions.
ask your mom why she hates Harry Potter. Then try to let her see what Harry Potter really is and tell her meer on the positive side of the Harry Potter Movie. But tell it to your mother in the right way. Because u should toon respect to her of course.
If she doesn't like it, don't try to make her changer her mind. It reminds me of my own mother, she did not like ster Trek (the original series) when it was aired on TV in the 80s (yes, I know, it's quite far, but I'm an adult - I could be your mother if I trust your profile). She did not like sci-fi and wasn't interested in it the least bit.
But at least she let me watch it. u may ask her why she doesn't like HP. Tell her she's entitled to her opinion but that you're old enough to watch something u like every now and then. Suggest her u could watch at times it won't bother her, for example.
If she's really reluctant, go and watch at a friend's.
u may also explain that the films have very few profanities spoken, very good acting door legendary cast, with a wonderful British accent. I say so because I highly recommend my students to watch the HP films for these reasons (I teach English).
My mom does the same thing. We get along very well and she does not treat me like a child. The thing is that she is tiered of it. When all that u do is talk about it and watch the films all the time it can get annoying. If u are anything like me then she probably already knows the whole story, and if your mother is anything like mine, then she will never read the boeken because that is just not what she is into. If anything just compromise. Maybe if u do something to help her of do well on a test then your reward would be to watch one of the films without interference.
ive never had any problems watching harry potter in my house everyone likes it stand up to your mom tell her that u want to watch harry potter and she cant stop u from likeing it
