Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan will return as Catherine Chandler and Vincent Keller when "Beauty and the Beast" goes back on air next year.

The upcoming installment of the series will be the fourth and final one. Fans have been anticipating updates, but details have remained scarce. We rounded up five things to know about the upcoming season of the "Beauty and the Beast" TV series.

tweeted about his last day on set, saying: "That\'s a SERIES warp 4 JT on @cwbatb. It\'s bittersweet saying goodbye 2 this character. I\'ll miss him. Onward&Upward."

Ryan also tweeted about his last day of filming, saying the "very final series shoot" was done in Montreal.

The show\'s return has not been given a specific date, but CW president Mark Pedowitz said that it will be in the summer.

"I truly like it as a summer series," the exec said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "It gives us original programming. One of our stated goals for the network was to have year-round programming. We\'re doing more and more of this, and having \'Beauty and the Beast\' gives us some scripted programming for summer."

While it is still unclear what the upcoming season will focus on, but TVLine\'s Michael Ausiello said a character from the past will make a comeback.

"Max Brown — AKA Cat\'s morgue crush Evan Marks — is returning for an episode," he said. "Which is notable mostly because the character is, you know, dead."

Everything\'s ready for the show\'s return on air, the only thing that\'s missing is an airdate. Even the episodes already have titles, including the finale, which will be called "Au Revoir."

Fans will have to wait till the final episode to learn about the fate of Catherine and Vincent. But Kreuk has an idea of the characters\' happily ever after.

The actress told Entertainment Weekly that living a "normal life" would be ideal for the two, but she does not discount the fact that the characters also want some excitement in their lives. So, a combination of the two would be the characters\' fairytale ending.
