What does Rarity means?

I think that Rarity is a combine of the word Rare,and with a ity in the back of her name!And her cutiemark can explain too,because there are three rare gems.

It means something valuable of something hard to find, which explains her cutie mark, and her love for gems and finding them.

It means that it's..........rare..........like her CM. Some gems are pretty hard to find.
