Call me a hater, but pokemons generation have been getting worse and worse. Anime has a great drop and the pokemon made are having a slow drop with an occasional amazingly awesome pokemon. I really gave up on Pokemon series though I do plan to watch Pokemon: Orgins

Serious people you guys are going to hate it just because of those are. I think they stupid reasons to hate it. Just saying. I am going to be the odd one out and say that the new anime generation is going to be awesome. I am looking forward to it Pokemon and Characters. You guys can hate it all you want, but that does not mean it is going to be a horrible anime generation. Diamond and Pearl was awesome and Best Wishes has it's good parts, but it is not horrible. I think people need to give not just the anime, but also the Pokemon series a chance. There are tons of people out there that still love the Pokemon series and also people who still love the anime. I will always love the anime no matter what direction it goes in. Just stating my opinion. The new anime generation is going to be great!!!!

I'm looking forward to next generation BECAUSE of the characters! I don't really mind about the Pokemon, since I'm just gonna Catch'em all in the game ^^ I do wanna see Xerneas badly, though.

I don't watch the anime anymore, more it went on, the more I realized how poor of a series it is. All the characters are Gary-Stus and Mary-Sues, the plot never changes. The older seasons are forgotten, Ash gives away the strong Pokemon he trained to get weak ones, same style villains, same battles, same everything. See one season, you have seen them all. Frankly, this series only keeps going for them to make more money off it.

Guys, the new generation looks amazing. Saying that is not disrespect to the fans but to the creators and everyone who worked on it. I bet you guys have no idea why it's called Pokemon X and Y and why they decided to release Pokemon : The Origin as a parallel.

P.S. Pokemon Generations have not gotten worse, you just grew up.

@usernameinvalid Actually I look back at the first generation and it is still pretty good. Then I go to the current episodes and I just dont like it. Im one that tends to re-watch animes if they are good and Pokemon Generations 1 and 2 I watched about 3 times and 3 i watched 2 times. 4th I watched once and 5th I only watched half. I truthfully dont have many intentions on watching 6th but thats a personal opinions

Actually in a total, I like games a lot despite some of the pokemon are just redos or just flat out weird. I love to train and evolve the pokemon though when I see copies it annoys me. Despite such I still play it and keep up with the games.

Username: I play the games, I don't watch the anime anymore, because I realized how poor they were. My sister is 13 and she agrees with me that the show is just poorly made. Rewatch the episodes, hardly any of them are different. Same story, same plot, same battles, same everything. Ash will never be a Pokemon Master, he will forever be 12, and the show is going no where. It's a smart money maker, but not a good plot lined series. The series stays on the same storyline, it never changes. New region and new pokemon, fight evil group and meet legendary, battle at gyms (which you can always see if he'll win or not), new traveling companion, forget about old characters and Pokemon, suddenly forgets how to battle and sucks like a beginner. That is the plot for ever region.

@1PhantomRfan I am totally with and at the same time totally agree with u on everything u just said. Also I am totally stoked to see the all-new Pokemon and overall the all-new Pokemon Generation. The all-new characters as well but more so especially, again, for the all-new Pokemon that are going to be introduce next month in October. So overall I am now jumping onto the bandwagon with u, my long-time fellow Pokemon fan. We will never get tired of Pokemon and we will always be Pokemon fans. Pokemon forever and long live Pokemon too

People keep forgetting who the actual target for the anime is, children. Why doesn't Ash become a Pokemon Master? The moral is that not everyone 'wins in the end.' We see how Ash copes with this, but he NEVER gives up.
However the games target a whole different audience.

@username Yeah, but at least change the plot a bit and not keep reseting ash to being a rookie trainer ever single time. If he actually HAD gotten stronger and actually HAD actually grown older, he would be Red. Awesome. Strong. Badass. And there is always one girl and one guy trialing ash everywhere. Ash starts with Pikachu. He ends up getting all the starters or the group ends up getting all the starters. He fights the villians and he does gyms. Exactly as Pumpkin said. Repetitive. Its boring. Everything is predictable. Give me a description of the characters and I could write out the generation and be at least 50% accurate. I know it is targetted at children but geez. Its not an excuse to be that repetitive. I truthfully want to see Ash slowly become an amazing trainer of a level 10/10 skill rather then getting to 8/10 then going back to 1/10 some how.

Well people who aren't liking the anime, there is a simple reason for that, that reason is that we are basically too old to watch the series, why is that the case, the target demographic of the anime is for 10 year olds, the games on the other hand I am going to enjoy them, like a true fan of pokemon, nothing is getting worse, it's because we are getting older

@47-thunderbolt i don't think that's the reason. i was 11 the first time i watched Pokemon and didn't like it. i stopped watching it for a few years just so that it wouldn't be part of my late childhood. the main reason why i don't watch it so much is because it's redundant. that's all i'm going to say.

Yes there are a few things that irritate me about the anime, those are Ash not aging, the lack of real storylines, the lack of reusing old characters, the rinse and repeat of the series and lastly the lack of character development. to me the only character in the series that received any real development was May, some might be asking why, well remember at the start of the series she started out not liking pokemon and the only reason she got her pokemon was to travel, but as the series progressed, she got better at her chosen path (coordinator) and became a very skilled trainer at the same time, enjoying having her pokemon with her every step of the way. How I wish for more development like that but with a different path for the girl or for Ash.
