In films and boeken do you?

I'll just use my favoriete movie as an example, well in my favoriete movie no I didn't hate his love interest in fact I felt sad that she had to die so painfully at such a young age (movie is The Five People u Meet In Heaven), the character I hated was Eddie (main character's) father because he was so cruel and unloving to Eddie . The character I liked best was Eddie's army captain (Captain) because he was extremely devoted to keeping his team together even going as far as shooting Eddie in the leg to keep him from burning up in a building he was about to go into.

unless there is a samurai, then they are automatically awesome

I wouldn't say 'hate' but one of the types of characters that really annoy me are the bad boys with a hart-, hart of gold. That is so cliche, it's starting to become a predictable staple for teen shows. I don't mind many other types of characters. I don't mind the perfect, bitchy, whiny girls.

And I usually love male characters who kick an unnecessary amount of ass. Like literally. Jack Bauer is my favoriete character of all-time and he's a BAMF.
