Actually, that's a very good question. I've found that the best way is to stop trying and just find some inspiration that will put in a mood when the writing just flows naturally. The biggest fueler of writer's block is the necessity to have that piece of writing done quickly and right away - that doesn't help... just stop trying and let yourself think about what things give u the inspiration to write the way u do.

Hope this helps. I hate writer's block as well.

Write better stories.

But seriously, u plan what u want to write on a Notepad. Just an outline, nothing too detailed.
For example:
A sadistic woman wants to kill everyone in her state, for no reason at all. Her ex-boyfriend hears about this, tells everybody and nobody believes him. He has to become a hero to stop her. (This is a summary)
Event 1: Woman is dating a man.
Event 2: They break up.
Event 3: Woman wants to destroy the state.
Event 4: She comes up with a plan.
Event 5: Ex-boyfriend hears about plan.
Event 6: He tells his friends. No one believes him.
Event 7: He decides to stop her on his own.
Event 8: She proceeds on her plans.
Event 9: He unexpectedly shows up and prevents her from doing her plans.
Event 10: He stops her.
Event 11: She cries for danger.
Event 12: He gets arrested.
Event 13: He tells the police she's evil.
Event 14: The police in disbelief, keeps him in jail.
Event 15: She laughs maniacally and destroys the state.
Event 16: Police says they're sorry, but dies from the evil ex-girlfriend.
Event 17: He escapes from jail and looks at the destruction.
Event 18: He steals a tank and bombs her to all Heck.
Event 19: Saves the state.
Event 20: The state apologizes to him and gives him a medal.
And the good thing is, u can change this ridiculous outline anytime in the story.

I don't know. I get writer's block all the time, I don't really realize when it's gone, except if I want to write something bad enough and I have an idea of what I want to do, I will do it. Good luck with u getting rid of yours. Just try not to think so hard on what u want of need to write. Just try to be calm. I get writer's block can be frustrating.

Whenever I have writers block of any creative block, what I'll do is think of my own past experiences, exaggerate them and just go from there.

That way u are using material u are familiar with, while it can be a new story to others, and u can feel meer inspired and attached to the project because u can relate to it to an extent, depending how much u exaggerate it x)
