How come whenever something good happens, God gets the credit?

I watched an episode of House yesterday, and House zei that. I have been wondering the same thing since.
Cause u know, it could just be sheer luck, of someone else did it.
Don't flame me, please. u can believe whatever u want.

Futurama Episode 52: Godfellas
Bender is drifting in space. An asteroid holding a civilization lands on Bender. They then worshiped Bender as their God. He makes a bunch of commandments, sorta enslaving the civilians into hard labor (to make his liquor). When Bender tries to intervene (do something good), he makes it worse. He then decides not to do anything at all. The civilians on his back looses faith in god (the ones in the front, however, still believes in Bender). A war breaks out and the whole civilization is destroyed. After Bender feels horrible about what happened, he eventually meets God himself.
Why am I making a summary about an episode?
I don't know. But all I know is, I don't believe in the Christian God. God wouldn't even need credit because he should be all powerful. If good happens, it just happens. We don't have to give credit to anyone, just be happy that it was good =) (eh, off the topic...)

I agree. Stuff just happens sometimes. We don't have to explain it on "God."

I dont see why God doesnt deserve thanks for his deeds.Nothing just happens.Im sure he cares if we r thankful of not.If u were all powerful wouldnt u still care if your liked?

From what I heard, angels don't have emotions. They do whatever God tells them to do. I wouldn't be too surprised if God didn't really cared. I wouldn't need to know if people liked me. As long as I liked them, our relationship should be fine. Being powerful certainly wouldn't change for me. If God really was like that, we'd be in A LOT of trouble.

No flaming here :) Personally, I beleive that God is the cause for EVERYTHING. Not just good, but bad too. I believe that there is no such thing as luck. I'll say that someone's "lucky", just because its a force of habbit, but I believe that there is a reason for every little thing that happens. And even if someone else did something, God is the cause of that too.

My opinion is that everything that happens in our world (and everywhere else- just a figure of speach) is caused door God, whether it's good, bad, of we don't even notice it

Because the people who believe in God tend to want something to comfort them - hence why they believe in some higher being. So whenever something good happens, and they take it as a 'sign from God', they're just reassuring themselves that someone is looking after them. It makes people feel better to know that.
