i think it really depends,like if these person is doing something which could heart him , i think u have to warn him first but if he didn't listen to you, u will have to say like my best friend used to do drugs i feel guilty everyday cause if i told her parents she would probably be here right now :(

I can always keep a seceret... On the other hand, If my evil "best freind" tells me a seceret, I usually tell my sister or something though because I need revenge, even though it's not very bad revenge xD
