renesmee is called renesmee because bella 'merged' her mothers and edwards adoptive mothers names together. they are renee and esme! also renesmee's middle name is carlie because bellas father is called charlie and edwards adoptive father is called carlilse! lol...hope i helped :)

Renesmee is made door merging edward and bella's moms name together rena(not kust-, oever how to spell it even thou ive red the book 4 times sad i no) and
esmee. they call her nessie for short as jacob points out renesmee is a bit of a mouthfull. Bella doesnt like people calling her that at first so tryso to bites jakes head of but then she gives in as no one will abay her command of not calling her nessie.
