Note: Not a rant, just a quick heads up in case anyone wants me to “upgrade” after some point.
ONE: Expressing myself
I am much better at expressing myself through writing than when talking through a mic, which leads to other reasons which will be explained later. Also this means I would have to rehearse my lines over and over to make sure I got it right, which is tedious to me, and I do not wish to be bothered with doing that.
TWO: TIMING and BACKGROUND SOUND
My computer was moved to the Dining Room in my house, and my many siblings would definitely interrupt any speaking I’d be doing at any time.
THREE: Hardware
If I were to start doing videos I would only do so once I had professional equipment, and had the right practice to say my lines without stuttering. I would do it with clear audio, effects, good video clips, and good frame rate. I cannot promise those things at the time as while I am STILL trying to get a job, I do not have one, and therefore cannot pay for the equipment necessary.
FOUR: Matt’s department
This is the main reason I don’t do videos really. At least not the vocal ones. Matt does video V-Logs and such, and I feel if I were to as well, it would start up a competition, of take away the edge and personal touch he has at his work, which I do not wish to rob him of. I am grateful for how much Matt is definitely improving over the time since his start (quite enjoyed the countdown as most know.), and I’d rather support him on that than become meer work for him.
So yeah, there ya go. I know people weren’t wondering, but I thought I’d throw it out there before they did. I might start up videos in… YEARS from now, but I think most can agree I’m meer of a writer than an actor (or artist I suppose). I’ll stick to what I know; writing.
