Kaya Scodelario, known as Teresa on the film, talked about what it was like wrapping up the final film of the "Maze Runner" trilogy. Meanwhile, Dylan O\'Brien\'s Thomas will be faced with a difficult choice in "The Death Cure."
Scodelario shared in an interview with Screen Rant how it was easy for the cast members of "Maze Runner" to get back on track in filming "The Death Cure" even though they went on a long break.
"We\'re like best friends. ... It wasn\'t like we hadn\'t seen each other for two years and were saying how are we going to get this atmosphere back. ... We didn\'t have that," the actress explains. She also revealed that the reason they felt so close to each other is that they remained connected through a group chat on What\'s App.
She also added that having Wes Ball back as their director for the final film helped in a way that they didn\'t have to adjust themselves to working with someone new.
Aside from that, Scodelario promises that viewers can expect "huge action sequences," especially the one with a train involved because it is "absolutely spectacular." Although the film will be action-packed, the actress also teased that there will be a lot of serious moments that help explain what their characters are going through in the film.
"Hopefully, it\'ll be a great way to kind of end this story," Scodelario said.
Meanwhile, Thomas will be faced with a difficult decision in "The Death Cure," as previewed from the official trailer.
In the trailer, Ava Paige (Patricia Clarkson) asks Thomas an important question while he\'s pointing a gun at her.
"Thomas, you can save your friends or you can save us all," said Ava. However, Thomas appears conflicted as he tears up while gripping the gun tightly in the direction of Ava.
"Maze Runner: The Death Cure" is slated to premiere on Jan. 26, 2018.
