The Office Your first "Office" episode?

smoore23 posted on Apr 06, 2008 at 07:03AM
What was the first episode of "The Office" that you ever saw? Did you start with the Pilot or did you see a random episode first?

Mine was "Casino Night" (I know...). I think it was the premiere of that episode and I was channel surfing. I stayed on NBC for a few minutes and I eventually changed it because I didn't know anything about the characters. I remember Michael in the warehouse but that's basically all I saw.

I forgot about "The Office" until summer 2007 when I was bored. I rented the DVDs from Netflix (starting with the Pilot) and immediately became obsessed.

So what's your story?

i wish i could say that i was a devoted fan from the beginning, but i joined in mid-season 3: Phyllis's Wedding. it amazed me because here was a show that i hadn't really heard much about, and about a minute into watching the show i was cracking up. i told my mom, "you gotta watch this show!" and we've been hooked ever since. :)

I think it might have been Christmas Party from season 2, but I'm not sure. My parents watched the show before me, so I'd seen bits and pieces before.

Like doonis, I'm not really sure. I know it was somewhere early to mid season 2. I think it was Halloween, but it may have been a re-run of it... I do know that I didn't watch the beginning of S2, but that I was totally obsessed by the time Casino Night came around!

A re-run of The Coup during the break between Cocktails and The Negotiation. My friends watched the entire second season over Spring Break last year and I have been hooked ever since

season 3 finale. :-p wayyy late. but i watched it, and immediately loved jim and pam. i'm a huge sap, and i loved when jim asked pam on a date. i didn't know their history, but i could tell it was a pretty big moment.
after that episode, i got the dvds of season 1-3 and watched them all in sequence, and became a huge jammer. :-p

Well I had no idea when it was on in Australia so I kept missing it at like 10.30 at night. But I was interested because I looooved the British show.
I'm pretty sure the first episode I saw was Alliance or Basketball (I should know this).
The first thing I remember cracking up at was Dwight turning to the camera when they entered the warehouse and saying "Like on Lost when they met the Others..."
But I missed most of them and just saw ones every now and then. Then I decided to watch a few episodes on fanpop here and became a full on addicted crazy fan!

My first glance was in the middle of "Hot Girl", when Jim was trying to convince Dwight to ask Katy out. My brother had misinformed me that a sitcom had derived from the movie, "Office Space", so I looked at a couple of minutes of it when I was channel surfing one night. I didn't care for it, then. Some time during season three, the Season One DVD landed on my doorstep, so I watched it. Then I watched Season Two and what had aired of Season Three on Fanpop to catch up.

My mom and I watched my name is Earl, then the office, but I didn't care for it much. The first full episode I saw was The Dundies, and I cracked up! We've (my mom and I) have watched it ever since, only missing one episode, that we taped and I asked my friend what happened

I didn't start watching it until mid-season two. I started from the pilot; however.

I wasn't much of a television watcher, but a friend showed some friends and me the entire first season, starting with episode one, and I must admit I didn't care for it as much at first, but it definitely grew on me! So I caught up with the season two episodes until I was watching the new one every week.

I'll always love the way Jim, Pam, and Dwight are in season one, lol.

I can honestly say that I watched the Pilot the first time it was aired. I still remember sitting in my dorm room my freshman year of college with my roommate. after that, we told a bunch our friends about it.
I loved the show from the first episode.

I think it was the pilot, but I'm not really sure. I watched it online. It might have been The Alliance actually.

Mine was Booze Cruise--but I only watched the cold open for some reason. I was channel surfing and saw the beginning of it and thought it was absolutely hilarious! Come to think of it, I don't know why I didn't watch the entire thing since I thought it was so funny.

The Dundies, my parents were watching it when it came on and I was bored so I decided to watch it with them. I'm glad I did.

My dad told me about this new comedy based on a British show "The Office" that he really liked, but I have never seen.

I was 13 at the time, so I guess he thought I was a little young to watch it.

Seeing as my dad and I have basically the same taste in everything (weird... I know...), I decided to check it out.

I forced my mom and sister to sit and watch the Piolt with me.

After is was done, my mom looked at me and said, "we're never watching that again."

I said, "that was GREAT!"

I loved it! I had never seen anything like it before. I was flabbergasted! Were you even ALLOWED to have comedied without laugh tracks? My eyes were opened!

Every Tuesday (and then Thrusday), I forced my family to watch it with me. Now they love it as much as I do! :P

up until a few months ago i have felt guilty that i loved the office because i used to loathe it.

i watched the beginnings of episodes after my name is earl in 2006 and thought it was a reality show and i thought it was really lame.

then on united airlines in april of 07, when i was flying to boston from la and back, they played a ton of episodes. i think my first was women's appreciation.

my dad, who also used to hate i,t watched it with me too, and we were both laughing our heads off and hyperventilating!!! it was a red eye flight and we were trying not to wake people up with our laughter so we were literally shaking in our chairs!

after i got home i ordered the season 1&2 dvds from netflix and my dad and i watched them together, staying up into the wee ours of the morning at times to finish discs. once we watched all of them, i watched the season 3 episodes on fanpop, and then watched the last few of the season on tv.

i am eternally thankful of united airlines for playing this show on those flights, because The Office has become an important part of my family. it became an obsession of mine, which brought me to learn about all there is to know about the show. The Office is seriously, one of the majorly important things in my life.

so thats my story and all of you who actually read the whole thing i thank you:)

For me it was Diversity Day. A friend recorded it and the Pilot on TiVo and showed me Diversity Day first telling me that it was the funniest show he'd ever watched....he was right.

I only watched those two episodes though because I was in school and had no cable. However, over Christmas break I got strept throat AND the stomach flu so I spent the break watching season 1 over and over, got caught up on season 2 and haven't stopped watching it since!

It was only about a week ago too. Hah.
But I'm in love with the show now :]

I don`t remember which episode it was exactly but I know I started watching in Season 3. After the infamous JAM kiss in Casino Night I was intrigued about the show so I immediately watched all the episodes on DVD.
