The Originals bosses tease multiple new big bads for season 3 

The Mikaelsons might have done away with their murderous parents and their even more murderous aunt, but New Orleans never stays villain-free for long. And when the cast of

stopped by the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con, creator Julie Plec gave some scoop as to who — or rather, what — will be causing trouble for the Original family in season 3.

Not only did Plec, along with fellow executive producer Michael Narducci, reveal that there would be multiple big bads in the upcoming season, but they also teased that the new villains vampiric in nature. As Narducci puts it, they are “doubling down” on the vampire threat this year.

So now the question is: What kind of vampire could stand a chance against a family of Original vampires? And could they have anything to do with the new character Narducci previously told us would bring Marcel back to the forefront of the storytelling?
