Are the vampire diaries a good series? My mom always likes to read my boeken b4 I do 2 make sure they are age appropriate. Is it a veilig book?

It has supernatural things, but after all it's a Young-Adult book. Teenagers can read it. I can name it as a 12+ book, because there are some bloody scenes there.
