Twilight Series Vraag

BUGGIN ME!!!!

something i noticed in the eclipse film was that jasper was still at school but rosalie had left. jasper and rosalie are supposed to be posing as twins(hence the surname hale). now if they're posing like this, shouldn't they be in the same stage of school??

THAT WAS ONE OF MY COMPLAINTS TOO. BUT PEOPLE TOLD ME TO CALM DOWN BECAUSE IT HELPED MOVED THE PLOT ALONG. I DON'T SEE IT. BUT I AGRRE IF THEY'RE TWINS THEY SHOULD BOTH BE IN SCHOOL of BOTH BE OUT OF SCHOOL. PREFERABLY OUT SINCE THAT'S HOW STEPHANIE MEYER WROTE IT.

In the book, Jasper was actually out of school. With Rosalie and Emmett.

However, since the book was adapted to film, it would have been really difficult to tell that little detail about Jasper being away. We know why Jasper would have been gone, but the audience who have not read the boeken wouldn't.

The key word is MINOR. Since it was minor, the producers felt like if they explained why Jasper was not there, it'd be wasting precious film time which could be used to better use. So they kept him in the movie. And, I'm sure alot of fans didn't mind this to be honest.

However, I don't believe they mentioned Rosalie and Jasper to be posing as twins in the movies. So, it wouldn't really be inconsistent since it was never mentioned. :)

Hope that helped :D

i still think that if u adapt a film to a book it should be pretty much the same. otherwise what's the point?

If they kept every single minor detail in the movie, the movie would be 10 hrs long. We might think that's not a big deal, but that's not how a movie works. So, they cut out the minor details. The things that don't really matter to keep the plot. Sure, the films weren't too successful with portraying the characters, but they had the main plot. And those wouldn't have been gegeven a chance if they kept all those minor things in. That is the point. Let me say it again. The POINT is that if they were to have kept all the minor details, we would not have been gegeven what we have in the movies. They weren't amazing. But, it was what they could do with what they were given. "Posing as twins" doesn't matter because it doesn't affect anyone. Therefore, doesn't affect the screenplay.

Im not sure I would have a problem with the movie being 10 hrs long...lol but excellent point...they never claim to be twins in the movie...

Haha I'm sure a lot of fans wouldn't mind. Like I zei above, but still. That's not how films work. We got to be realistic. Now, if it was a tv series, then that's a different story. There's no reason why they couldn't put all the minor details in.
