What were your reactions when u saw/heard that The Last of Us is now going to be turned/adapted into a live-action movie?

When I first heard that The Last of Us is now going to be turned/adapted into a live-action movie, I was basically quite (and a bit pleasantly) surprised to see that happened for that game now

Yeah. I loved the game. I liked TWDG better than it but yeah one of the best games I have ever played.

Now the 1st Mortal Kombat movie was actually pretty good and decent as well as cool. The same can be zei for Prince of Persia, I believe. But other than those two films, yeah, I know exactly what you're saying there. I totally understand what you're saying too

Video game movie adaptations in the past haven't worked well because, well, they're not cinematic pieces so the translation to cinema is not seamless, it is clunky.
But The Last of Us is a very story-driven cinematic game, so I actually think a movie adaptation, with the right director and cast, can actually be quite amazing :)

The game is absolutely incredible. There's no way they could put everything that makes it amazing into, what I assume, would be a two and a half uur film.

Plus, the game itself is already like a movie with its remarkable cutscenes.
