They are just terrible directed and acted, the story is nothing like the video game, the special effects are terrible, and it is just horrible to watch. A perfect example is Alone in the Dark movie, which is one of the few films to get a 1% on Rotten Tomatoes

am in the only one who like films based on video games? I can't be that crazy..
No, there are good movie based games. There is Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, Halo Legends, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Movie, and the first Mortal Kombat movie was a little good, but most of them are just... crap
This movie was f***ing awful all the way around. Then again, it was made door the same director who made House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark.
But anyway, this movie was all together cheaply made. The actors weren't really serious, the sex scene wasn't needed, the fight choreography was poorly executed, the campy dialogue...I mean, I did not get 'BloodRayne' out of this at all. I mean some people may like it, but this is globaal, algemene a *bad* movie. Kristina vs Michelle Rodriguez was the only noteworthy thing in here.
