After last night\'s Westworld finale, HBO has dropped a huge - possibly unintentional, probably not - clue as to the show\'s time period.

The official Westworld website holds the clue. As outlined by Thisinsider.com, fans who signed up to the Westworld mailing list were sent an email about a security alert after last night\'s episode, prompting them to head to the Delos Security panel for an important message. Within the email, several letters were grayed out to spell  "reverie," a nod to last night\'s episode.

Head to the now-jumbled security panel at delosincorporated, type \'reverie\' into the admin panel (seriously, go do this now), and a series of security footage screens will spring up - one of which has a date on it. Captured by Reddit user Herbrax212, you can see the date - June 15, 2052 - below.

This suggests the \'present\' time period of the show is 2052, which means Arnold\'s death occurred in 2018 - 35 years earlier.

Fans have even deduced the meaning behind the jumbled lines of code you\'ll see subsequently. Reddit user yenwood translated the code to find two hidden links within the site, one of which is a short clip of missing employee Elsie saying "hello?", and another shows a video of her on the park map.  Is this a hint that maybe Elsie isn\'t dead after all? Let\'s hope so.
