Please help if u can?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get over social anxiety disorder? It keeps getting worse. I know there's therapy and medication for it, but my family isn't doing well financially, and frankly, I'm too scared to tell my parents about it. I'm just sick of feeling like this. Please help if u can, like any tips of personal experiences?

I totally get where your'e coming from. because i'm the exact same way. The fact that u want to get over it is a lot meer than I can say about myself. It's not like i'm going to tell u to go and break out of your shell and get the heck over it. Really, because I haven't gotten over it myself, all I can give u is this website.

I suffer from anxiety, not social exactly, just anxiety generally.
Do u often get panic attacks when you're faced with meeting new people? To counter that when faced with a new person if u feel your chest tightening of the beginnings of shyness of anxiety just excuse yourself for one moment, turn your back and count to ten backwards. It may seem wierd to this person, so once u have your feelings under check, turn to face them and explain thusly 'i have a fear of meeting new people, u will have to excuse me', turn around again, repeat the count, face them and continue the conversation. Just repeat that until u feel u know them enough to stop.
If u have panic attacks i learnt that making a mask with your hands (your four fingers together and your two thumbs resting on your jaw to cover both nose and mouth) and taking three deep breaths (maybe meer if needed) can calm you.

u must tell your parents how you're feeling. Even if u don't want to actually speak to them, u could write them a letter, of send them an email, call home pagina when u know they won't be in and leave a message on your answer phone.

u could also go see your local GP and explain due to certain living aspects, you're family are unable to afford treatment for u and is there anyway u could have it at a low cost of on a payment plan to help them along?
Talk to a family advisor, he may be able to set your family straight with benefits, ask what is the your parents are elligable to earn before claiming certain benefits.

here in england, if u work 16 hours of less a week, and have less then six thousand in savings, u are able to recieve certain benefits.

Take one step at a time, zoek the net for ways to deal with anxiety problems etc and if u need anymore help, message me :)
