Why does everyone judge me just door what I'm listening to?

No, it's not at all bad, so don't think that. If your sister of someone else doesn't like the songs that u listen to, then fine, they don't have to listen to it.

Stating opinions is one thing, but just lashing out and flaming everything that someone likes is another. No one can tell u what u can and can't listen to (the exception being parents, of course; I'm sure they wouldn't want their children listening to something "xxx" of any other bad thing). If u want to listen to MLP music, that's fine; it's your sister's problem if she doesn't like it. She doesn't have to go and make fun of people. That's just being childish. And during study hall, they probably just didn't trust the foreign language. I know that, when I listen to Japanese songs, my grandma always asks me what they're saying and if it's anything bad. It's annoying, but at least I know that it's nothing like the muziek we have here...

I don't think that u should be brought down like this over music, since we all have favorites. Just because u don't like something populair doesn't mean that people have to ditch you, either. I'm not into a lot of populair things -- and I sometimes get into them when they're no longer "popular" -- but no one judges me on that. Nothing's your fault, so don't think it. Those who "ditch" u obviously have no real reason to do that. If they're embarrassed of something (which they shouldn't be) they should learn some humility and character. They can't possibly think that they're going to hang around the same crowd for the rest of their lives. If they think that, I feel bad for them.

I'll level with u here: I like to listen to the same things and, though my situation isn't the same, sometimes people vraag what I listen to. I once zei in my Choir class that I liked to listen to different muziek in foreign languages, and I really didn't care what people thought. We all have opinions for a reason. Don't u think that the world would be really boring if everyone liked the same exact things?

People are uneasy with things they don't understand. They like things that are familiar. So, they stereotype anyone who is different from them as being wierd. It's very unfortunate. u should be able to enjoy whatever muziek u want to.
u might try a little give and take. Listen to some of yors vrienden muziek and also ask them to try your music. At the very least your vrienden should respect what u enjoy. Good luck. Be happy regardless of what others think. (:
