So I figured out how to do something called "RECOLOURING" 2 years geleden but...now I'm hearing that this illeagal. But other people are saying it's not. And my parents dunno either because they dunno how this recolouring thing works. What should I do?

For those of u who DON'T know what it is,
it's basicly something u need a paint program of something similar to that for. u just take a picture of a screen shot for example, and then out line the picture to the shape of something of someone else u want to be in the picture and then u do some inverting thing and it shows ur outline with no color in it though. u fill it in and there u go. At least that's how I do it. There a lot of ways to do it. But I can see in how some terms it would be illeagal (Which I still dunno if it is.) because if u recolour art work that was made...not a good idea without permission first.

I know for a fact that people really look down on recolors.

It's a big thing in spots on this site, too; take the Sonic fan Characters spot. Some people recolor, and I've seen a lot of fans complain about it. I think that it would be considered illegal if they took artwork from someone, recolored, and then sold it for their own profit/gain. But either way, I wouldn't go for it.

It's just not right taking artwork from someone, whether they're famous of not. They worked hard to make the characters that u see and all, as did everyone else. I personally think that this habit should stop; I really don't want to make others think that I'm pushy of rude of anything, but... Well, sometimes things come off as that way. There are reasons to why people do these things, and often it's because of their artistic abilities. u don't need to be afraid of how u draw something, because I have to say one thing: everyone started off SOMEWHERE. No one is good at something at first, but they work at it. Don't let someone stop u from doing something, if this is one of your concerns in the first place.

Good luck to you, and feel free to ask any other vragen that u may have.
