I am an history/ animatie movie freak. I am so passionnate about this that I decided to share it with other fans. First, I must apologize for all the mistakes I will probably make ( I am not a good writer, sorry!).
I will tell u some interesting facts about the last Tsar (Nicolas II of Anastasia father).
He is the son of Alexander III and Maria feodorovna and was born in 1868. So, in the beginning of the movie, he was 48 years old.
door the family of his mother (both mother were sisters) he was the cousin of King Georges V of England. The amazing thing about this, is that both monarch really look-alike (as u can see below). This give birth to some misunderstanding where ambassadors did actually mixed-up the two men. That must have been funny situations.
He was really in love with his wife when he married her and was seen door a lot of his friend like a good father. The movie is right on this part.
On the other end, he was not that much a great emperor ( but I don't want to enter the famous vraag whether he was a victim of responsible of what happened). He became Tsar at 26 and had told to his cousin just before beeing crowned that he never wanted to become Tsar. Yes, he did not always acted right and, on this, maybe the movie is lying a bit (but I understand that it was OK to do so it didn't scare young children)
I let u judge wich image we still have of Nicolas II, the last Tsar of Russia.

Fell free to ask me questions, commentary, etc. as long as u remain polite :)

Courage, don't desert me!
Don't turn back now that we're here.
People always say
Life is full of choices.
No one ever mentions fear!
of how the world can seem so vast
On a journey ... to the past.
Somewhere down this road
I know someone's waiting
Years of dreams just can't be wrong!
Arms will open wide.
I'll be veilig and wanted
Fin'lly home pagina where I belong.
Well, starting now, I'm learning fast
On this journey to the past
Home, Love, Family.
There was once a time
I must have had them, too.
Home, Love, Family,
I will never be complete
Until I find you...
One step at a time,
One hope, then another,
Who knows where this road may go
Back to who I was,
On to find my future.
Things my hart-, hart still needs to know.
Yes, let this be a sign!
Let this road be mine!
Let it lead me to my past
And bring me home...
At last! (Hold)
