Avril Lavigne skateboards in her garage.
The ‘Sk8er Boi’ hitmaker is so busy with her career she barely has time to go out and toon off her skills, so instead she has cleared a space in her home pagina to enjoy her hobby.
She admitted: “I sometimes skateboard at my house. This might sound really strange and bizarre, but I skateboard in my garage.”
While Avril has little time to skateboard, the 26-year-old singer has recently taken up surfing, which she enjoys because of the similarities to her other hobby.
She said: “I’ve started surfboarding a little bit. Surfboarding is like skateboarding,...

[Rolling Stone] Avril Lavigne Cuts Loose in 'What the Hell'

"What the Hell," the first single from Avril Lavigne's fourth album Goodbye Lullaby, has the same magical balance of brattiness and earnestness as earlier hits like "Sk8er Boi," "Complicated" and "Girlfriend." This time Lavigne is singing about wanting to cut loose and misbehave after years of playing it safe. The video gets the tone just right, matching her lyrical sentiment to some goofy sitcom antics.

1. What The Hell

What The Hell is the official comeback song for Avril Lavigne after her three-plus jaar album hiatus. The world fell in love with the Napanee native with her high-energy tracks Complicated and Skater Boi. While her musicality has always exhibited strength for her slower tempo, retrospective tracks, What The Hell is the perfect song for Avril to dance her way back onto the charts.

2. The Mother F**king Princess

When EW last talked to Avril Lavigne in July 2009, the Canadian pop-punk ster spoke happily of collaborating with her then-husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, on her fourth album, scheduled for release that November.

Some seventeen months later, Lavigne and Whibley are no more, but the long-delayed Goodbye Lullaby is very much on—with an official release now slated for March 8, 2011.

EW caught up with the 26-year-old singer as she finished recording a pre-taped segment for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

EW: So u just finished performing the first single from Lullaby, “What...

We've been waiting to hear some solid news about Avril Lavigne's new record for the last year, and none meer solid than information coming from Avril's mouth herself. Recently on Twitter, Avril stated that she was finishing up in the studio... but the strange fact was that she was working in Europe with a mysterious producer. We're glad to see that this record is finally moving out of 'The Family' if it means that it's release is sooner! We're hoping some kind of Ellie Goulding collaboration maybe? of maybe she could be working with huge hitmaker Max Martin? Who knows. We can just see that this record is finally coming to the end of its production and we couldn't be happier.

~ Perphaps Europe was where Avril was headed when she was spotted at the LA airport recently...
