Traci Minnelli was walking down the straat almost to her apartment. She had her key in the door when she heard three shots ring out behind her and a door slam. She turned around to see a middle-aged white man running from the store across the street. Her eyes connected with his for only a minuut but that was enough to scare her. She fainted.
Eames sat at the captain’s bureau with Goren. They were in trouble, yet again. It turns out u aren’t supposed to arrest a lawyer before warning the brass. Since they had done that they weren’t able to talk to the press anymore. The lecture they got she was used to, being partners with Bobby. This one was running a little long and she was beginning to get irritated. Goren had sensed this and had tried to stop arguing. He had tried. She couldn’t help but be thankful when the captain’s phone rang. The conversation was over.
“Double Homicide, the first victim, the store owner/manager, has been identified. Peter Black is his name, and the seconde victim was a customer, we believe. She is still unidentified. We have an eye witness that says she heard 2 shots in a row.” Alex summarized from the report. He slowly paced along the borders of the crime scene. She secretly when he did this. She could see his brain working.
“What perfume are u wearing?” Goren asked. The vraag caught her off guard but she answered with a smile, “Orange Vanilla.” Bobby nodded. “Are u going to tell me why u asked?” she said. “This women, she is wearing an expensive perfume. If I remember right it’s called ‘Juniper Breeze’.” He replied. With a sarcastic look she added, “Aren’t we the perfume expert?” “Don’t look at me like that,” he zei defensively,” I bought it for my mother.” She slyly winked at him. “Yeah, right.” “Come on Eames, the reason I remember it so clearly is because it was 200$ a bottle and there was only one place in New York that sold it.” He told her. They headed toward the SUV.
“Ahh, I remember you,” the koop owner zei scowling at Bobby as they walked in. He spotted Alex and kindly asked, “What can I get for you?” She figured he did this so he could ignore Bobby. “Actually, she’s with me.” He zei about to pull out his badge. Before he could the manager’s jaw dropped. “You have a girlfriend?” he asked in astonishment. A little smile played across Eames’ lips. Bobby had frozen in mid reach and he stood speechless. Alex pulled out her badge. “You’re a cop?” he stated even meer shocked. It took all she had not to burst out laughing. After a seconde of severe blushing, Bobby snapped back to cop mode. “Could u tell us who bought ‘Juniper Breeze’ in the last 3 months?” Bobby asked.
“I’ll go get my records.” He replied, Eames still smiling. The manager came back to the room a few minuten later with a folder. “Here u go.” He said. As they walked out she could see him shaking his head in amazement.
