Yeah, what she said. Catholicism is basically a denomination...like Baptist or Presbyterian.

Christianity is THE religion but Catholicism is only a PART of Christianity, more of a sect of Christianity.

Catholics are Christians for crying out loud. We are a branch of Christianity. Maybe other Christians like Protestants don't but we do.

Actually, I'm an Anglican myself, therefore Christian, yet married to a Catholic now. Besides, the Anglicans are half way between the Protestants & the Catholics anyway. We prefer the term reformed Christians tbh. Anyway, we are ALL Christians, no matter what denomination we may belong. We should start working more on ecumenical co-operation, so there would be no need for asking these kind of questions in the first place. Btw the proper way to spell the name from your question is Catholic, with an O & a capital letter, therefore it's NOT cathlic but Catholic! Also, the name Christian must be written with a capital C as well! It's Christian, NOT Chirstain, or Christain btw.
