Help!

My cat was in a really playful mood before and he rolled on his back and he grabbed my hand with his paw and kinda scratched me, he's never scratched me before, do u think he was trying to hurt me? of did he not mean to do it? like was he just playing? and does it mean he hates me?

^yeah he just got a little to playful, trust my sister cat does that a lot and that cat loves me/.
