1)Before u start, u need a storyline
Writing a story requires planning. Think of a general storyline. The worst thing u can do is start writing and go with the flow. ‘Cause u don’t know where you’ll end up. Most importantly, before u begin, u need to know how u want the story to end. Think of meer than one storyline and let them flow together. If you’re a good writer, that shouldn’t be a problem.
2)Official characters/Own character
Obviously the main characters of your story are going to be Damon and Elena. But u should spend some time to the other characters as well. If u can’t make certain characters likeable, then u should try to make them interesting, but don’t pretend they don’t exist. They could be very useful for your story. u can also add your own characters, but only if you’re certain they will serve the story. Otherwise they’re just a waste of page space.
3)Set a for your story
Decide how many chapters u want to spend. For example: all my fan fictions contain 22 chapters and I manage to get the story told in those 22 chapters.
Everything u didn’t get to tell in your first story, u can write in a sequel. I’m writing my seconde DE story and I’m planning on at least two more.
4)Don’t ask people what they want in the story
u need to ask yourself a question: do u want to write a good story of do u want to please the fans? If you’re a true DE fan, then what u want is bound to be similar to what the fans want. Besides, readers aren’t writers. You’re in control of the story, u call the shots.
5)Defining scenes
You’re writing DE, so u should add some of the scenes that define them, such as keuken-, keuken scenes, bedroom scenes, halsketting, ketting scenes, road trips, …
6)Don’t rush the story
Again, you’re writing DE, so take it slow. If you’re going to have them jump each other’s bones in the first chapter it’s way too fast and they’re not any different then SE. One of the greatest things about DE is their journey.
7)Don’t be afraid to ask help
Like I zei before, you’re in control of the story. But that doesn’t mean u can’t ask people for help. Just make sure u ask it of people who know what they’re doing.
8)Write real scenes
Some people simply write that they saw on the show, as if their writing the toon in a book. That's not writing, that's describing the scenes that were written door someone else. It's cheap and everyone can do it.
9)Be bold
u have an awesome idea, but you're afraid of people's reactions? Don't be. Just go for it. And if they don't like it, sucks for them.
Any meer tips? Say it in the commentaren and I’ll add them to the list. Credits will be given.

I am in love with Vampire Diaries. However, it is my duty as a fan to not stand aside and watch the writers and the fans of this spectacular toon make the biggest mistake ever! Love is a very passionate thing and no matter who Elena chooses in the end if she chooses stefan..... it will be the biggest mistake she will ever make in her life and for the Stelena fans..... u know I am write and u are probably thinking who the hell is this person Stefan is hot, well i will admit he is pretty hot, but love depends on passion and how much a person connects and damon and elena have a relationship(besides the sire bond) that i am pretty sure any girl of maybe guy....... would kill for. so if the writers choose the wrong one i am sorry to say but they do not understand love and that is a shame because this is the perfect love story.
