I think this quote is HIGHLY under-rated. So so amazing. But really..they all are. Tough choice.

I love all of these, especially the Midnight quotes, but I love this quote the best cuz the last two quotes, while absolutely beautiful, were said by Damon, so I choose this one cuz its very beautifully said by Elena too. <3 all their quotes tho.

Don't even read the books but I'm obsessed with this quote! I'd be happy with just about any of these though. All are amazing <3

They are all so good. But I chose this one. As the season finale left us with Damon expressing his love for Elena, true and pure love. He wanted to die with Elena knowing that, in the books and the show.

I love this one, but they're all amazing. I'd prefer a quote from Elena this time around though. :)

It's a tough choice, because all the quotes are so amazing, but this moment marked a turning point in their relationship. I know it's very short and deceptively simple, but the meaning behind it is so powerful for DE and the fandom. It means so much for Elena to accept and love Damon the way he is, knowing everything he's done. It's not 'If you do this or that, then maybe you'll finally be worthy', it's unconditional. All through their journey so far, the writers have shown us the unique understanding Elena has for Damon, how she's given him a break even when he's done some very bad things, and this quote forms the cornerstone of their connection.
