She kissed him because she wanted to. It wasn’t meant to be sexual. It was meant to be sweet and comforting and to toon that she has these feelings for him. It was a goodbye kiss to be sure but there was absolutely nothing pitiful about it.

I mean, of course, she DOES love Damon; she just doesn't understand, doesn't realize that what she feels for Damon IS love because it's so different from what she has ever believed that love is.

Do u think Damon will steal Elena from Stefan in season 3?

He pretends to be cold and heartless, because it’s easier that way. Because if people saw how truly large his hart-, hart was, they might toy with it, and break it. And he’s simply not ready to beer the brunt of that pain for another eternity.
