Well, the reason why I made this poll because I have a strange feeling that not many people liked the idea of a Disney adaptation to Maya the Bee, yet some of them liked the idea for a Disney adaptation to Heidi more as seen in this poll which I also have made back then which all of them voted for Heidi over Maya the Bee (link) which lead me to think if they don't like the idea of Disney adapting it as much as they don't want it to be "messed up" or they think Heidi will be a more suitable tale to be adapt and turning it into a Disney film which I agree that Heidi will be done more well by them than with Maya the Bee or that they wanted another American studio to adapt Maya the Bee like MGM, Universal, Warner Bros, Paramount or 20th Century Fox instead of Disney, but I was also thinking that a Don Bluth version wouldn't be a much bad idea, but then again, we have Anastasia which was made by Don Bluth for 20th Century Fox which is one of his films that were often mistaken for Disney which is why I put this poll on this club as Disney owns 20th Century Fox as of now which probably means that they probably own Anastasia and also because he used to work with Disney before he left and made his own film projects which of course are more mature and even darker than most of Disney films, so I think that if he adapted Maya the Bee like in the 80s or even in the 90s, it will probably contains more darker content than what will Disney do like keeping the scenes where Maya saw the corpses of dead insects after she have been imprisoned by the hornets like in the original book. Also, Bluth himself originally wanted to make his adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, but he cancelled after realizing that Disney was also working on their own adaptation, but from what I have seen from the illustrations of the Don Bluth version, it seems like it's going to be an interesting one and hoping for it to be turned into a good one and be as good as the Disney adaptation.
