There are some obvious ones, like fake-out-make-outs being more common in stories for spy or action couples, or the sharing-body-heat trope used in stories which are set in or could move to cold locations. But there's one pairing fandom I've noticed which seems obsessed with bedsharing and I can't really work out why.
