"So, u and Julien are getting pretty close?" Marlene hinted as she giggled. "What?! No!" Lexii zei as she splashed Marlene. They were both floating around in Marlene's pond. Marlene nudged Lexii with her elbow. "Aw come on! u two would be good together!!" zei Marlene smiling. Lexii growled just as Skipper jumped out of the manhole door the door. Lexii and Marlene screamed then glared at Skipper.
"Dry off ladies! meld to the HQ stat! Commence Operation Christmas!" Skipper smiled and disapeared back into the manhole. The girls shrugged and hopped out of the water.
Skipper clapped his hands and cleared his throat. "Ok people. Listen up! We are go for Operation Christmas! There are a lot of things that need to be done in a very little amount of time!" Skipper motioned to Kowalski and he handed everyone a sheet of paper with pictures on it.

Skipper smiled back then spoke again. "Ok, first on the lijst is the tree. Lexii, Kowalski, Julien, myself, and Rico will pick out a boom while Marlene, Private, Maurice and Mort gather the decorations. We will meet back up here at 2100 hours. verplaats out!"
It was very dark in the woods. Skipper, Lexii, Julien, Kowalski, and Rico had gone into the forest just outside of town and were now walking timidly along a narrow trail. A sudden noise made them all jump. Lexii grabbed Julien's hand without thinking. She quickly pulled away and blushed.
They soon came to a clearing scattered with pine trees. They picked out one that was not to big and not to small. Rico hacked up a chain saw and started sawing away at the tree. Everyone else put their hands over their ears.
Rico laughed like a maniac and yelled "TIMBER!!!!!!"
Everyone moved out of the way as the boom crashed to the ground.They all smiled and slapped high-fives.
Skipper, Lexii, Julien, Kowalski, and Rico entered the zoo carrying the boom on their shoulders. They stood the boom up and admired it.
Marlene, Private, Mort, and Maurice came in carrying armloads of decorations. They put them on the ground volgende to the tree. "Where'd u get these?" Lexii asked as she looked through the pile. "Zoovenier shop." Marlene zei brightly.
Skipper stood atop a rock and motioned for everyone to start decorating.
Ornaments were hung and the tinsel was strung. It took them all about an uur and all that was left to put on was the star.
They all stacked hooi-, hooi bales ontop on eachother so that they could reach the top, boven of the tree. Lexii climbed up with Mort on her shoulders and Skipper tossed her the star. Lexii held Mort up and he placed the ster atop the tree. Everyone cheered as Mort hopped down.
Lexii reached up to straighten a piece of tinsel. She couldnt reach it. She stepped back to the edge of the hooi-, hooi bales. Still couldnt quite reach it. She reached her arm as far as it could go. Lexii grasped onto a thin branch and leaned back. Almost got it...SNAP! The branch that she was holding onto snapped off the boom and Lexii tumbled backwards down to the ground.
Rico threw up a strand ball and tossed it under Lexii. She bounced off it and flew straight towards Julien. He caught her and smiled. She laughed and shrugged her shoulders. "Oopsies." she zei as she giggled. Julien put her down and smiled. "Thanks." Lexii zei as she smiled. Julien stepped towards her and smiled sincerely. "I will always be there to catch u when u fall,Lexii." Julien zei as he leaned in for the kiss.
Skipper covered Private's eyes and smiled. Private peeked over Skipper's flipper. Marlene and Kowalski sighed dreamily and smiled. Rico made a grossed out face and covered his eyes but he still looked out from the side of his flipper and smiled.
Lexii was scared. But this just felt so ...right. She couldnt do this... "Julien, wait..." she zei just as their lips brushed against eachothers. They opened their eyes. "Im sorry Julien. I just cant. I've never dated anyone. Im so sorry. I would but... just not now..." Lexii looked down sadly. Julien took Lexii's hand and squeezed it. She looked up at him. To her surprise, he smiled. "I completely understand, Lexii." he zei sincerely. Lexii smiled."Thank u for understanding Julien." They smiled at eachother.
The warm smell of gingerbread wafted through the air. Skipper, Private, Marlene, Julien, Mort and Maurice sat at the tafel, tabel chatting. Kowalski was in his lab inventing who knows what and Rico was on boom patrol on the other side of the zoo. Lexii put on oven mits and took half a dozen gingerbread men out of the oven.
Rico burst in through the escape tunnels with a crazier-than-normal look on his face. "COOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!" he yelled and laughed like a maniac. He ran towards Lexii,who was still holding the gingerbread men, and reached for a cookie. Lexii put the tray above her head and pushed Rico away with her foot. "Not yet Rico. I havent frosted them. And how in the heck did u smell them from across the zoo?!" Lexii zei as she slowly put the tray down. Rico pointed to the top, boven of his beak where his nose is and made a "no duh" face. "Really, never would have guessed that." Lexii smiled and rolled her eyes. She took out some frosting and decorated each of the six gingerbread man.
Kowalski burst out of his lab. "It's done!!!!!! My Inanimatron is finally done!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!"
Skipper sighed. "What does THIS one do Kowalski?..."
Lexii picked up the tray of koekjes, cookies and smiled. "Cookies are done!!" she zei cheerfully. Rico crossed his eyes. "COOOOOOOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he tackled Lexii and the gingerbread men went flying. The plate flew into Kowalski and he dropped his new invention. A purple straal, ray shot out and hit the six flying gingerbread men.
Lexii growled at Kowalski and Rico. The koekjes, cookies fell to the floor and a purple glow formed around them. Everyone gathered around to watch what would happen. One door one, the koekjes, cookies stood up and started walking around. Everyone gasped except Kowalski who was clapping his hands excitedly. Skipper slapped him and told him to fix this.
Suddenly the koekjes, cookies laughed evily and ran out the door. Everyone rushed outside and gasped. The gingerbread men were attacking the Christmas tree!!!!! The ornaments fell to the ground and shattered.
"What do we do?!?!" Marlene asked franticly.
Skipper smiled slyly. "Rico! Kaboom! ....... Rico?"
Rico was racing towards the boom screaming "COOKIES!!!!!!" He snatched one of the gingerbread men and swallowed it. The other gingerbread men stopped what they were doing and looked at Rico. He laughed like a maniac and grabbed two meer cookies. He chased after the remaining koekjes, cookies and gobbled them down.
Rico raced back towards the pinguïn habitat where everyone was watching with surprprised eyes. "TAADAAA!!!!!" Rico yelled. Every one cheered.
The boom was still pretty much intact so they all just straightened the tinsel and hung up a few meer ornaments.
Christmas eve 1900 hours
Next up was the gift exchange! Lexii carefully wraped each present in red wrapping paper and tied a small goud bow ontop. She carried the presents into the HQ and set them on the floor volgende to her. Everyone handed out presents.
Lexii got Skipper a coffee mug with the American flag painted on it. She got Marlene a set of paint and brushes. Kowalski got a new microscope and she got Private a Lunacorn blanket. She gave Rico five firecrackers and Maurice got a portable neck-massager. Lexii gave Mort a small popcicle maker. She gave Julien a fancy hoofdkussen, kussen for his troon and a few multi-colored feathers for his crown. They all thanked Lexii for their gifts.
Now it was Lexii's turn to get gifts. Rico gave Lexii a stick of dynamite that he had painted pink. Skipper gave her a blue camo wristband. Private got Lexii a cute bunny plushie. Kowalski gave her one of his latest potions (no idea what it does and dont want to find out). From Marlene she got a silver halsketting, ketting with a few charms on it. Mort gave her a leaf in the shape of a ster that he found on the sidewalk and Maurice got her a lavender scented candle.
The only one left to give a gift was Julien. He pulled Lexii aside and she could see that he was holding something behind his back. Julien smiled and handed Lexii her gift. It was a peice of wood carved into the shape of a heart. In the middle it read : live, love, laugh.
Lexii smiled and hugged Julien. "Thank you!!! Oh i love it Julien!" Lexii zei as she ran her fingers over the smooth dark wood. Lexii smiled and hugged Julien again. They hugged for a few seconden then something in Lexii changed. She relized that she didn't want this hug to end. Mabey she did love Julien after all. It was to complicated to understand right now...
Christmas morning. Marlene's habitat
The sun glared through the doorway and Lexii opened her eyes. She sleepily gazed over at Julien's present which was now mounted on the uithangbord infront of Lexii's bed. Every love song in the history of love songs played in the back of her mind. She smiled as visions of her and Julien together flashed into her head. She quickly shook her head and sat up. "AHHGGGG!!!!" Lexii yelled as she hit her head on the uithangbord a few times.
Marlene sat up and looked at Lexii with concern. "Uh, are u okay?..." Marlene zei as she slowly got out of her bed. Lexii rubbed her forehead and stood up. "Yeah I'm fine. I'm gonna take a walk in the park. Kay?" Marlene smiled and laid back down.
Lexii stepped outside into the cool air. Snow covered everything. She strode past the lemur habitat and Julien jumped out from behind the fence. Lexii was startled but then smiled at him. "Merry Christmas!!!" she zei cheerfully. He smiled and told her 'Merry Christmas' back. Lexii waved goodbye and started to walk away but Julien pranced up along beside her. "Where ya going?" Julien asked as he walked closer to Lexii. "I'm going to take a walk in the park." she said. Smiling, she turned towards Julien. "Wanna come?" Julien nodded eagerly and Lexii laughed.
White. Nothing but white shining snow. It covered every inch of the park and icicles hung from the trees. It was beautful and breath-taking.
As they walked, Julien looked over at Lexii. She blended in almost perfectly with the snow. Her sparkling blue eyes twinkled like diamonds. Julien looked at Lexii's hand. He wanted to hold that hand meer than anything right now. He quietly reached toward it. Lexii saw what he was doing and gave him 'the look', but she secretly wanted to hold his hand too.
They came to the top, boven of a small heuvel and stopped walking. Lexii tip toed away from Julien and made a small snowball. She took carefull aim and hurled it at Julien playfully. He laughed and rolled down the hill. When he stopped at the bottom he looked up at a laughing Lexii. She laid down and rolled down the heuvel then came to a stop right volgende to Julien.
As they laid there laughing, a big chunky pigion flew straight into the boom branch above Lexii and Julien. The pigion knocked the snow off the branch and onto Lexii's head then dizzily flew off. Lexii laughed and looked up at the boom branch. "Uh-oh..." she zei quietly as Julien also spotted a small gleaming mistletoe. "Heh..." Lexii looked at Julien and made an 'oh crud' face.
Julien took Lexii's hand. "We dont have to if u dont wan-" Julien stopped when Lexii took a step closer to him and smiled. Julien brushed Lexii's bangs out of her eyes and leaned in for a kiss. The moment their lips touched, they both felt something that they had never felt before- pure love. Lexii wrapped her arms around Julien's neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist. They held eachother and kissed for a few moments. When they finally broke apart, Lexii smiled at him. "Merry Christmas Julien." She turned around and began to walk away, smiling.
