Emma woke up in the early hours of the morning, she glanced at the clock which read 5:30am. She groaned, and pulled the blanket back over her head. But she couldn't get back sleep. She sighed feeling frustrated. She started thinking about what happened yesterday.

I should have really seen it coming, he has been really distant recently. She thought. It still hurts though. She added sadly. Hey, stop feeling sorry for yourself. She told herself sternly. You're single and free now, also you've probably got a chance with u know who. She said. She began to smile, as she thought about the hug yesterday. Deep down, she wanted to be with him, but she couldn't do that, right after she had been dumped, it just didn't seem right. Also she didn't feel ready, because she was still deeply hurt. She closed her eyes again, and tried to get some sleep. She eventually fell back sleep about 7am.

Kowalski woke up about 10am, and gazed at Emma sympathetically. She was still sleeping soundly in her bunk, cuddling her toy dog. As Kowalski walked passed her, he stroked her hair gently. He walked up to Skipper and Rico who were eating vis at the cinder block table. He noticed that Private was still asleep.

"Morning soldier." Skipper greeted, making a vis coffee.

"Morning." Kowalski replied, taking a vis from the plate.

"Did Private tell u about what happened yesterday?" Skipper asked.

"If it's what I think it is, I already heard from Emma." Kowalski answered, looking back at her pityingly.

"I can't believe he broke up with her after all this time. Skipper remarked, looking at Private's bunk with anger. "I didn't hear much from Emma yesterday, is she ok?"

"Urm...." Kowalski began, slowly.

"Igueshatsano." (I guess that's a no.) Rico said, also looking at Private's bunk with anger.

"No one upsets my little sis and gets away with it." Skipper said, getting up. Kowalski stopped them both.

"I don't think Emma's going to feel any better if u do something to Private." He tried to reason. Skipper looked thoughtful, and motioned Rico to sit down. Rico looked disappointed, and he sat down reluctantly. Skipper sat down too, though Kowalski could tell that he still wanted to punish Private somehow.

About an uur later, Emma trudged out of bed. She gave he team a small smile as she sat down door the table. Everyone was silent.

"So how's everyone today?" She asked looking bright.

"Ok." Rico replied slowly.

"I'm good." Kowalski replied, smiling at Emma.

"I'm ok, but what about u sis? I heard about what happened yesterday." Skipper said.

"Honestly Skips , I'm fine, and I don't really wanna talk about it." Emma replied, pouring herself a bowl of cereal. The others looked skeptical, but Emma ignored them. A while later Private woke up, and Emma acted completely unaffected door what had happened, though she didn't talk to him, because she knew if she did, she wouldn't be able to keep this happy act up, and she's probably break down in tears. "I'm just going toilet." Emma said, getting up ,and walking calmly through to the bathroom. She locked the door, and let the tears fall. She leaned against the door and curled up in the corner. She caught sight of herself in the mirror, and something struck her.

Look at yourself, you're crying on a bathroom floor in the corner. She thought, getting up, and wiping the tears from her eyes. She pushed the hair out of her face, and she looked in the mirror and smiled. Ok, no meer feeling upset and hurt, yes I cared for him, and I still do, but I have so many nice friends, and kind people to talk to, and I shouldn't do this to myself. She thought, straightening her ponytail and walking out of the bathroom proudly. She sat down volgende to one of the portholes,and beamed at her friends, as she got out her sketch book, and her headphones. She plugged them in, and looked through the songs. She found one, she couldn't remember, it was door Taylor Swift, and it was called I hart-, hart vraag Mark. She put it on curiously and found out that it was just like her situation.

Wish I had concentrated.
They zei love was complicated, but it's something I just fell into. And it was overrated, but just look what I created. I came out alive but I'm black and blue. Before u ask me if I'm alright think about what I have to do... Yeah. Wake up and smell the break up, fix my heart, put on my make up. Another mess I didn't plan. And I'll bet u thought u beat me. Wish u could only see I got an "I hart-, hart vraag mark" written on the back of my hand.

Emma looked thoughtful, and she turned the sketch book around, so she was looking at the back cover. She got out a pen, and wrote, 'I <3 ?' in the corner. She looked up at Private, and back at her book, feeling proud of herself. At 12:30 Skipper got up, and zei it was time for training. Him, Rico, and Private, climbed up the ladder, and just when Emma was about to Kowalski piped up.

"Emma can I talk to u for a second?" He asked nervously.

"Sure." Emma answered, cheerfully, walking up to him. He took her flipper, making Emma's hart-, hart leap in her chest.

"Em, I understand if it's too soon, but I was wondering, that now you're not going out with Private, maybe you, urm... would want to, urm.. be with.. me?" Kowalski stammered shyly, going red. Emma blushed, and took his other flipper.

"Kowalski, I want to, trust me, I really do, but I can't right now, I'm just not ready for another relationship, and I couldn't right after I've been dumped, it just doesn't seem right." Emma explained reluctantly. It took all of her self control to stop herself from saying yes, and kissing him right there. She smiled at him, and let go of his flippers.

"I understand Em." Kowalski replied, forcing a smile. The two of them heard Skipper shout, and they climbed up the ladder hastily, wondering what training Skipper had in store for them today.
