Chandler gripped the edge of the seat, throwing his arms vooruit, voorwaarts as his only daughter braked hard to avoid hitting the car in front of her. His hand hit the handschoen compartment soundly, Erica's concerned face informing him he wasn't the only one who'd heard the crack his wrist had made.

The bitter winter wind bit his face, as he wrestled his way through the large holiday crowd. He'd always hated shopping—especially at this time of year.
