This plot for the final season is interesting and I'm glad they're going back to that future episode storyline from season 4 but that's not the problem I have with Fringe at this point. My issue is that the show runners thought they could get away with messing with the show's main/important dynamic (Peter/Walter/Olivia) and think the rest of us wouldn't notice.
WRONG! Trying to write Peter off the show and bringing in lame!Lincoln in his place was their first mistake. Their second was erasing Peter completely from existence of the Fringe world except from the mind of his beloved (without a proper explanation) and by doing that they ruined their shows leverage because without Peter/Walter dynamic there is no Peter/Walter/Olivia which means NO FRINGE! So there's you're reason why people stopped watching and why I'm done watching!
